The forward position can also serve to "round-haul" your gear along with fish directly into the fish hold.

By moving the reel stern-ward, it opens up greater deck access for unloading of fish-hold.

The surface of the center drum of reel has aluminum flat bar welded to act like a power roller.

When the reel is moved stern-ward, for setting gear, without having to remove the level-wind.

Providing a closer distance, lessens the chance of backlash and damage to your gear.
