Classic Fully Restored Runs Beautifully

This vintage 1950s wooden Sea Bright skiff is in excellent structural condition, and our mechanic has checked all mechanical and cooling systems, which are functioning perfectly. The boat includes a heavy-duty, roadworthy, double-axle trailer that in itself is worth about $6,000. This boat is currently in the water in Kingston, NY and is ready to go for the summer and fall seasons. She spent most of the last decade in saltwater, being used for a few trips every season.

Over $50,000 has been invested in this boat over the last 20 years. Extensive renovation was completed between 2005 to present by Gannon and Benjamin, Martha's Vineyard and Two River Boat Works, Fair Haven, NJ, and a second round of renovations took place in the 2010s and early 2020s. The renovations and features include:

Replacement of the bow/stem and ribs, planking, transom, windshield, console, seats, deck, etc.
The deck is teak with access panels to the bilge and mechanicals
Oak frames and a mahogany transom
The planking was carvel using cedar, leaving the original top 4 lapstrake mahogany planks
The Crusader V6 165HP (gasoline) engine was rebuilt in 2005 and has low engine hours
New windshield made of safety glass
New engine box and forward hatch cover made of mahogany and oak
New mahogany instrument panel
Mahogany folding helmsman seats
Brazilian hardwood cabin floor
New fuel tank
Recaulking and repainting

Zobel's Sea Skiff and Yacht Works was incorporated in Sea Bright in the 1940s and were a well respected boatbuilder. They joined other wooden boatbuilders along the North Jersey Shore, including Olsens, Hans Pedersen, and others.

This vessel was originally donated to the Hudson River Maritime Museum, Kingston NY. All proceeds from the sale of this go to funding public woodworking, sailing, and educational programs for adults and youth at the museum.
