Fountain Lightning

2008 Fountain 35 foot lightning, staggered 525 motors, Bravo XR drives with Sportmaster 2 Shorty gear cases. 211 original hours. 100 mph boat. See attached picture of Fountain Performance report for this boat. I have had it to 99 mph ( see attached speedometer picture) with Hering props but it was a hot day with glassy sticky water conditions and the speed was still climbing when I ran out of lake. The boat was completely stable at that speed with no chine walk or wobbles, just like it was on rails. See attached video. It is a fantastic riding boat. The Hering props give great top end speed and also midrange cruise speed. The boat cruises 75 mph at 4000 rpm, 65 at 3500, and 90 at 4700, See attached pics. The props will run up to the 5350 RPM rev limiter..

The interior and exterior are both in excellent condition. The boat has low usage at high RPM levels. See attached picture of time at each RPM level. The top ends have been done by Eddie Young at Young Performance Marine. This included new valve springs and rocker arms. The port drive was replaced ( both upper and lower units) in May, 2021 and has about 50 hours on it now. The starboard drive was just replaced (both upper and lower units) this August and has about 20 hours on it now. Both drives were new from Mercury Marine and cost about $16k each. The starboard drive is still under warranty until next August. I have all receipts. The boat has brand new $7k Hering props from FJs at Lake of the Ozarks. The props have 8 hours of run time on them now. Triple axle custom trailer from Magnum with EOH brakes. Easy to load. No salt water usage on boat.

You can find a cheaper boat like this out there but it wont have the top ends done yet and by Eddie Young which makes these engines better than sealed engines, and it wont have the drives replaced and from Mercury, with one drive still on warranty for 10 more months. And it wont have a fresh set of Hering props and just 211 hours on the boat. Add all that cost in plus the down time you will go through to do all that and this boat is a real bargain.
