During the fall of 2017 the boat was taken to Powerquest and Neil Wallace installed the following:
- New Mercury HP Transom Assemblies (Not rebuilt, new) so gimbal rings, bearings, steering pivots etc etc are all new.
- New Port Side Outdrive
- New Stbd Side Lower Unit
- Rebuilt Stbd Side Upper
- New Couplers
- New port side engine circulating pump
- Alternators
During the fall of 2018 I pulled the top ends off the motors and had the heads professionally refreshed at Auto Parts Machine Shop & Services in Ann Arbor with new valve springs, seats, and seals. During the re-assembly this spring I also did the following:
- Plugs
- Caps
- Rotors
- Injectors were cleaned and flowed
- All new top end gaskets
- New Manifold & Riser Gaskets
- New Sea Water Pump Impellers
The boat is overall in exceptional condition for it's age, you would be very hard pressed to find one nicer. I have dumped A TON of money and effort into it as I planned on keeping it for many years to come however another boat came along that I just couldn't pass up. It has around 50 hours since all of the work at Powerquest was completed during the fall of 2017 and 0 hours since the top ends were done this spring. The engine oil and drive oil has been changed religiously and was done last fall before it was put away.
It has been kept either in indoor rack storage or in a covered hoist well and never sits outside. I have owned the boat for two years now and it has never missed a beat. Starts, runs and drives excellent. It will run around 75 mph in ideal conditions. I get compliments EVERYWHERE it goes.
The trailer is a Hollywood Trailers all-aluminum tri-axle w - drive guard. It has had a recent bearing - brake service and new bunk carpet. A couple of the tires were replaced last summer as well. I only use it a couple of times per year.
There is so much that has been done and upgraded on this boat I'm sure I must be missing something. It is my absolutely baby and it pains me to see it go but owning two boats just isn't an option. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to set up a time to see it.
