Mako 230B

I am the original owner and am selling because I no longer have a tow vehicle (I sold my F250 to my sone as he works for a boat builder and needed a vehicle to pull client boats as part of his job) and at my age do not need a boat that can go offshore. When my sons were young we went many times to the Bahamas in this boat, both with the Mako tourneys and with friends. The boat and my family was featured in one of the Mako catalogues (I still have the catalogue). The deep cuddy cabin and full curtains, including back drop curtain, make it very easy to sleep on and be protected from weather.
It has a Mako factory installed hardtop , full dive platform and motor bracket. I would recommend updating the electronics which are currently a Furuno radar and Lowrance GPS - Sonar - Chartplotter, but keep the ICOM VHF.
The engine, which runs fine, is a 2005 225 Evinrude E-Tec has approximately 460-500 hours. It idles at 450-500 RPM, while max RPM is between 5300-5500 depending on prop. Cruising - planing speed is between 18 to 25 knots and top end is approximately 35 to 38 knots. It has a 120 gallon gas tank and gas usage, loaded and on plane, is 1.5 miles per gallon. It includes 3 stainless steel 3 blade props and 150 of anchor line with 12 or so of chain rode and a Fortress anchor.
There are hydraulic trim tabs, with newly installed Bennett trim tab pump.
I have all the original cushions which have been stored over the life of the boat with new snaps, and the cockpit bolsters have been reupholstered.
There is teak, as this is a classic boat, which I keep scrubbed, but not oiled.
The trailer is a tandem axle '92 MagicLoader with surge brakes, in very good shape. From time to time I jack the trailer up with the boat, and spin the tires to check bearings and avoid a flat spot. The boat was Indoor stored for years at Shields Marina, St. Marks, Florida, except for the last 3 when I moved it from St. Marks, Florida to Yulee, Florida.
I continue to do project on the boat, but if sold today the things a new owner would need to do would be to: 1) tighten transom through bolts which fasten full dive platform to boat. (They are not loose but a tightening is needed infrequently), 2) replace 3 cockpit light bulbs and plastic fixture, 3) replace float switch on main bilge (bilge works fine in manual, but float switch does not), 4) the 5 gallon fresh water pump which operates fresh water sink in cabin may need replacing.
I have the original Mako Owners manual and diagrams for the 230B, plus manuals for the other items on the boat. Maintenance records are at Shields Marina, St. Marks and Chelsea Marine, Yulee.
Negotiable; I need to sell this boat as I do not want it sitting without use after all the care we put into it.
