Wellcraft Scarab

It is a 1997 Wellcraft Scarab 19.5'. It is powered by a hand-built Chevy 350 with a .3 overbore (built and dropped-in in 2015) that runs awesome and rockets this boat. It is not too heavy and has power to pull slalom, two tubes, etc. It is shallow in the water and works well in river-ways and shallow lakes, but is deep enough to handle some chop. It drives from the left hand side like a car and seats 4. The swim deck and ladder are much bigger than most and always a hit on the lake. It puts power through a Volvo Penta PJX jet drive that's in great shape.

I removed the 90s looking green - purple graphics, had it professionally waxed, and put three Scarab graphics back above the water line. The seat were re-colored to red - black and the rub-rail replaced. Stereo head unit was replaced and speakers increased from 2 to 4 with a low-profile sub under the center console. Sound dampening - heat shield was added to the underside of the "hood". A new tongue was just put on the trailer (original Wellcraft trailer in great condition with solid, over-sized tires), as well as the water pump and jet intake resealed. Less than 90 hours on the timer, and it is registered through 2019.

The cover tore last year, and I have not bought a new one. However, it is stored winter and summer indoors. Realistically there is nothing to complain about on this boat. It is light, fast, and a lot of fun. It runs like a top and looks very cool. Universal studios used to use these as stunt boats, and they do like mini cigarette or go fast boats.
