Description
Echo is a 1996 Versilcraft 75 Motoryacht currently located at AYH Marina, Red Hook, St. Thomas, USVI. She is UK flagged with Port of Registry London and is offered for sale at $800,000. The vessel is powered by twin MAN D2842 LE406 diesel engines rated at approximately 1,200 HP each, driving Arneson surface drives. Reported engine hours are 1,550, with the starboard display showing lower hours due to replacement of the MAN electronic display in 2024. Cruise speed is reported at 30–32 knots with a maximum speed of approximately 39 knots. Draft is listed at 3 feet with drives raised.
The interior arrangement includes three guest cabins and three ensuite heads, plus a separate crew cabin accessed via an upper deck hatch, also with its own head and shower. The master cabin is forward with a queen berth and double vanity. Port and starboard guest cabins are fitted with twin berths. The main salon includes a dining area and seating, while the upper deck features three helm seats, a U-shaped lounge with table, and additional lounging areas aft and forward.
Between 2023 and 2025 the vessel was kept on the hard in the BVI and underwent a significant refit. Reported work includes new teak decking, repainting of the upper hull to the rub rails, new teak flooring in the salon, updated navigation electronics, new exterior cushions and vinyl, installation of a new 21kW generator, replacement and rebuilding of cooling systems, rebuilding of the Arneson surface drives, overhaul of trim tab and engine-room hatch hydraulic rams, replacement of numerous hydraulic hoses, installation of a new watermaker and ice maker, new battery chargers, and replacement of house, start, generator, and bow thruster batteries.
Electrical systems are 230V / 50Hz AC with 24V DC. Generator inventory includes a 21kW unit with approximately 52 hours and a 9kW unit with approximately 851 hours. Tankage is reported at 4,200 liters of fuel total, 1,300 liters of fresh water, 800 liters grey water, and 400 liters black water. Mechanical systems include automatic and manual bilge pumps, fire suppression via CO₂ system (noted to require update in 2026), bow thruster, and a fuel transfer system between tanks.
Deck equipment includes windlass with helm and foredeck controls, hydraulic swim staircase, manual ladder, passarelle, tender garage, bimini with side curtains, and standard mooring gear. Tender is a 3-meter inflatable with a 4 HP Yamaha outboard purchased in 2019.
Echo was owned by the current owner since 2008, previously based in the South of France, shipped to the USVI in 2018, and is now in private use after prior commercial flagging. The vessel is reported by the owner to be operable by a private owner or with crew and is offered for co-brokerage.
