Pace 40 Convertible 40

The Pace 40 Sport Fisherman is a re-creation of the original Egg Harbor 40 Sedan built from 1975 until early 1986. (The molds for several Egg Harbor designs were purchased in the late 1980s and sent to Taiwan where the Pace series was built by Nautique Yachts.) Aside from her solid front windshield and bold deckhouse mask, the Pace 40’s styling remains very close to that of the original Egg Harbor 40. Below, the two-stateroom interior is similar to later-model Egg 40s with a spacious main salon, mid-level galley, and a single head. (The breakfast bar found in the original Egg 40 is eliminated in the Pace, thereby opening up the salon considerably.) A generous amount of well-crafted teak cabinets and paneling is applied throughout the Pace’s interior, and large cabin windows admit plenty of natural lighting. The foredeck features teak toerails, the cockpit includes teak covering boards, bait prep center, and a transom door. A handsome boat, the Pace 40 is a good reproduction of a classic Jersey-style sportfishing boat.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Entering the salon there is a large L-Shaped faux leather couch to starboard that converts to sleep 2, to port is a teak cabinet which houses the electric panel. Also on port is a bar countertop with two stools that separates the salon from a mid-level galley. Continuing below, there is a large head with shower to starboard and a guest stateroom to port that sleeps 2. Forward is the master stateroom with an Island Double Berth and large amounts of storage.
