Carver 3227 Convertible
Description
Listed is a 32 1988 Carver 3227 Convertible in excellent condition.
After our first year of boating, we have decided to sell the beautiful Serenity and move on to something bigger!
This yacht is ready to go from your first day of ownership.
We used the yacht to take friends out on day cruises around Manhattan, but have also used it on a couple of trips out to Montauk and Block Island.
With a spacious main cabin, aft deck, and fly bridge this is the perfect vessel for quick turns, or extended stays.
Six overnight guests can be comfortably accommodated in three separate areas (mid-aft cabin, main cabin, and V-berth).
Serenity has been taken care of spending most of her time in fresh water.
There have been two previous owners, with the first owner purchasing the boat brand new from the Javits center
in 1988, and later selling it to the second owner around 2010, who we purchased it from in 2021.
The galley offers a large refrigerator, electric stovetop - oven, and microwave.
There is ample countertop space with a converting stovetop for additional prep space.
There is plenty of storage space within the galley itself.
The head has a toilet, shower, sink, and exhaust fan.
There is a hot water heater that services the shower and sinks.
The flybridge offers an excellent vantage point for navigation for those who are new to boating, or for those who want a comfortable position to operate a larger motor yacht.
There is a full
enclosure with multiple smile windows that can be opened or left closed while underway.
There is one captains chair, two side chairs, and a bench that can seat three people.
The bilge area and motor compartment is very clean and remains mostly dry.
The motors are somewhat serviceable with three hatches, but the entire aft deck can be removed to entirely
access both engines without interruption.
There are two inboard 5.7L 260 Crusader 350 cubic inch GM block engines with 630 hours.
With both engines running at manufacturers suggesting cruising RPM of 3200 will comfortably reach
appx 22-27 knots.
There has also been regular maintenance (oil - oil filter changes, belt - hose
changes, etc).
There is Raymarine navigation equipment.
There is also a recent Raymarine autopilot system, Azimuth 1000 Compass, and depth finder, PA system, VHF radio, and some electronics and other equipment.
The boat measures at a length of 32', beam of 11'7 with spacious headroom of 75.
Fuel capacity is 220 Gallons with 84 Gallons of onboard water storage.
There have been some significant upgrades along the way.
Here are some recent upgrades:
- This season (2021)- New Nautik Flr teak - holly floors.
- This season (2021)- New Carpeting in carpeted areas.
- This season (2021)- New indoor and outdoor speakers were installed.
- This season (2021)- Bottom paint.
- 5 years ago- New hot water heater.
- 5 years ago- New refrigerator.
- 9 years ago- New paint (still looks new).
- 10 years ago- New generator (currently with 99 hours on it).
Things that can be improved:
- Windlass winch should be serviced or replaced.
Anchor still be used, but currently the
anchor should be pulled in manually.
- One of two bilge vent fans needs to be replaced.
All supplies are purchased and are
included.
Marine survey was taken less than 6 months ago, and is available upon request.
The boat is located on the Hudson River near Edgewater, NJ and is available for showing most days.
