Tiara 27
Description
This Tiara 2700 Continental was one of the first express cruisers ever designed and built built by Tiara, a company known for its series of high-quality saltwater fishing boats.
The hull construction as many quality boats of that era is of solid fiberglass, and her deep-V bottom and relatively wide beam provide a stable and comfortable ride in a chop.
Below decks, the well crafted interior is arranged with a V-berth - dinette forward and a double berth in the mid-cabin host comfortable accommodations for four adults.
The cockpit is very large, with bench seating aft and a raised helm position with a double helm seat. Plenty of room if fishing, taking a gang out to play or rafting up... at least one boat needs to have an open dance floor.
Additional features included a beautifully crafted aluminum windshield, wide side decks, a swim platform, and very good access to the engines.
Speaking of engines, this boat was professionally re-powered with fresh water cooled, fuel injected Mercruisers in 2002, has been used regularly since and the owner reports that she runs just great and has been very reliable.
It is the quality of the Tiara build, materials and fitting out that enables these fine old boats to continue in service when many of their lesser peers have long since been torn asunder for their recyclable metals.
She is a boat for those who appreciate that which is intrinsic, hidden beneath the cosmetic level, and though clearly dated by today's standards, she retains a certain elegance akin to fine antique furniture, seldom seen in today's boats, and with proper care and periodic upgrading, can perhaps continue in service indefinitely.
The photos tell the story, an old girl from the days they were very heavily laid up, good and solid, original OMC drives removed and re-powered with EFI Mercruisers in 08 - 2001 (receipt available), no ham-bone modifications by current owner of many years or prior owner(s), owner reports she is used regularly and is a good, reliable and seaworthy runner. Boat does close to 40 Knots. Vinyl Replaced 2013, Less then 800 Hours on the Engines. Gps, Fishfinder. Sleeps 6, Shower, Sink, Aft Cabin, Plenty of Storage Areas. Always Professionally Maintained.
