1998 Maxum 3700 SCR
I have had this boat for the past 5 years and have diligently maintained & upgraded her from bow to stern. There are a lot of upgrades & modifications.
In July 2016 completed a cruise up the Chesapeake Bay, to Cape May NJ, down the East Coast to Virginia Beach and back up the Bay--she cruises very nicely & everything works great!
Performance:
Cruises at approximately 26-27MPH at 2550RPM, runs up to 31MPH full throttle once on a plane she makes 1MPH per 100RPM.
At 2550RPM she burns 20 gal - hr.
Engine hours are 7.5 and 1780. The port engine was rebuilt over the winter--details below
All maintenance is up to date & I have kept records of all work performed on her for the last 5 years.

2 Cummins Marine Diesel Diamond Series 6BTA M3 5.9L 330HP engines
-Port engine #6 cylinder failed during fall 2016 and was torn down, rebuilt & reinstalled. All break in procedures & performance checks completed & in compliance w - Cummins specifications.
--Engine torn down, block re-bored to .02 over, replaced all pistons & wrist-pins, injectors, rebuilt P7100 fuel pump, replaced all gaskets, turbo, intake valves, machined - rebuilt head.
Installed $1800 sound insulation
- Cockpit at cruise is not just over 60 decibels, People can now talk or listen to the stereo while underway
Port alternator rebuilt (2014)
Starboard alternator replaced (2014)
Port Engine battery replaced (2017)
Acid flushed and manually cleaned both engine heat exchanges and transmission coolers
Replaced all engine raw water intake hoses and clamps
Replaced AC raw water intake & clamps
Rebuilt starboard engine raw water seacock
Removed & re-installed both rudder thru-hulls to address aged sealing
Replaced both PSS shaft seals (2015)
Cleaned both after-coolers (2015) -- No visible signs of wear or corrosion. Units came apart very easily & are in excellent condition)
Re-cleaned port after cooler (2017)
Valve lash adjusted this spring
Westerbeke 8KW generator
- Replaced water intake sea-cock
- Installed hour meter now at 89 hours (2016)
-- Added sounded insulation to the sound box
Added additional 1000 gallon - hr. bilge pump
Added easy oil change system
Added V-Drive easy fluid change capability
Upgraded thru-hull and water strainer (to accommodate increased water flow of added AC unit)
Replaced courtesy lights (Blue LED)
Upgraded Radar Arch courtesy lights (selectable white or red)
Added 4D AGM house battery (2014)
