1995 Douglas 46ft Skater
This is one of the first factory cut down decks from Skater. It is 11'6 wide. Al Copeland, founder of Popeyes Chicken, bought it new and it was rigged only once with turbines and ASD-8 striaght drives. The boat has never had any delamination. The changes that were made to this boat to help it reach its top speed of 192mph were: cutting back the tunnel, sloped the nose, widened the bottom pad and added a hydraulic canard. The cockpit has a six point chromally roll bar with carbon roll bars. The boat was just weighed and it came in at 7,000lbs. The transom was plugged with solid laminated glass, no wood. This boat has NO motors. The trailer is a 2007 Myco it is in great shape. This is the boat that Al Copeland ran every weekend and it is one of his last toys left in his estate to sell.
