Larson thunderhawk sr

I found this boat at a neighbors, It was sitting in his front yard for 10 yrs and I drove by it everyday and didn't pay much attention. It was loosely covered but after a windy storm blew part of the the covering off, and I just happen to see "Thunder" showing on the side. I whipped in the drive and pulled the covering back and there it was a dirty mess that had been parked in his front yard for 10 yrs. I stumbled on the for sale sign that was buried in the weeds and never recalled seeing it before. I rubbed the jell cote a little on a spot and it was shinny. I went to the door and the guy said his brother owned the boat. He said they went fishing about 10 yrs ago and when they got back they parked the boat in the front yard and never used it again. I bought the boat, hooked it up to my van and hauled it home. I washed it and sucked the leaves and crap outof it and determined that it was truly all Original, all the pieces were there and some trim looked almost new. It is a Very RARE Thunderhawk Sr in original cond. Needs no restoration. Too nice to restore. I added New factory correct steering cables. Re-soldered the original ignition switch with all new color correct wires all the way back to the engine. All new and factory correct wiring replaced the old and dried out wiring. All lights lite up like a Christmas tree. No repairs on hull, the Jell coat is shiny and needs only buffing. The Motor is the only one that has been mounted and is the Original Merc 300 which is a 4 cylinder 35 HP electric start.The previous owner had the upper power head rebuilt in 1999 to the tune of $1000. The pistons are shiny on top so I believe He had it done. all steering and shift and throttle cables are replaced or brought back to original new. All works like new. The rest of the Merc is original. Magneto, points, ect are perfect showing very little time on them. The fuel pump and gas lines are new, engine looks almost new. Not much time on it or the boat. The engine has been run in a tub and runs like a Swiss Watch. Has reverse not a dock buster. Chrome and fixtures are in great condition and I would polish and not redo them. The Lucite pole lights were in their place behind the center back seat rest in front of the battery and Fuel tank area. I found a Vintage Merc fuel tank about the same year as the Boat and it is almost like new. New EPA fuel lines replace dried out stuff on the entire boat. The Steering wheel is a rare original factory wheel in perfect condition. The trailer is the original trailer and is a SnoCo tilt. The original tires still look new but are weather cracked a little. There is much more info on this rare original Antique Thunderhawk, So you can call me. I dont want to deal with endless E-mails which go no where. I believe this is the nicest un-restored Thunderhawk Sr left in this country, I would never restore this boat, it is a turn key at this point. The windshield is gone but it has the Original Aluminum piece to attach the new one. All original factory badges including the serial no tag is intact, It indicates 1957 and It states this is the 55th boat that Larson made that year.
