| 1987 Donzi Z-22 with Cabin
Up for Sale is my 1987 Donzi Z-22. I purchased this boat two years ago from Minnesota where is spent most of its life on a fresh water lake. The interior was replaced with very high grade marine materials and great craftsmanship. The boat has a cockpit cover and a full heavy duty custom cover. A fresh 454 Magnum rebuild was installed last year. The Carburetor has been rebuilt, the new mercruiser circular water pump replaced, a new 100 amp alternator, bronze fresh water thru hull water pick up and drive impellor, two brand new marine grade batteries, all steel hoses installed, and bellows. The exhaust manifolds and risers were changed last year with original OEM Mercruiser parts. I have the fresh water cooling system for the boat that just needs to be installed. Plugs, wires, distributor cap and button replaced with mercruser parts. Starts and runs good every time. It has silent choice exhaust bypass that I am manually changing due to the low pressure of the air pump. You can have the exhaust come out of each side for a real loud head turning sound or through the foot for fast quiet speed. It has a few scratches, chips and cracks in the original gelcoat. The drive is in very good condition. I have been running it with the original stainless steel 21 pitch prop. This set up runs the boat at 56 mph. I selected to use the lower pitch prop to give more out of the hole in lieu of top end. This boat handles rough water very well. I am only selling it because I want a faster boat thus I would consider trades for a tunnel hull. I would like to see 100mph. It has a Polk audio system installed with JVC marine amp. | This is a 1988 Donzi Z33 Crossbow that has spent its time with me on Lake Murray, SC and currently Lake Lenier, GA.
The original 454 power train was updated in 2005 with twin 502s and new Bravo 1 drives.
I just had the water pumps replaced, as I do every year, along with the out drives serviced. (4 - 25 - 12)
I wanted to update the cockpit, so we installed new Livorsi guages along with all new connectors.
As you can see from the pictures the cabin has been redone (memory foam) and all new LED lighting and wiring installed. We can spend the night on the lake and leave the lights on all night and hardly burn any energy.
There is a 19 inch display up in the bow where DVDs can be watched. And as far as sound is concerned! It's incredible with the two 12 inch subs, along with clear audio & high current amps - sound is crisp & clean. Remote makes it easy to adjust the sound and pause movie for breaks..
Steering is smooth as throttle, shift cables, trim tab indicators and drive indicators cables, along with gimble bearings all recently replaced. Batteries purchased last season stay charged by the rebuild alternators.
Along with the purchase price of the boat is a 2007 Sealion galvanized tandom axle trailer.

33 ft. long with a 9 ft. beam
Trailer: New, 2015 metal, with spare tire. All components are new including, top of the line tires, new brake lines, bearings and drums.
Engine Specs: Dual 502, Naturally Aspirated, Chevy Engines, Bored out to 535 cubic inch, 680 h.p. each.
Outdrives: XR drives, bravo ones converted to XR drives. . .. Spent $10,000 for that upgrade.
The engines have Holley 1050 carburetors. The ignition is MSD, the motors have oil coolers. The motors where built by Ron Sporl Engine Building. The entire set up in the engine compartment is high performance, built to last and ready to go. The motors have approximately 240 hours on them. The outdrives have been upgraded to XR drives and will handle the H.P. The outdrives were upgraded in 2015 and have approx. 30 hours on them. The battery system is new and top of the line and is made by Trojan. Spent over $1200 in new batteries.
Rebuild of the Donzi: The boat went through a complete exterior redo in 2015. Including new trims, windshields, lighting, the boat looks in excellent condition.
Interior: Completely redone interior, temprapedic queen size berth, flat screen T.V., ice maker, frig, two sinks, head, new LED color changing lighting throughout.
Shound: (4) 12" Rockwood Fosgate 12" subs, multiple speakers, and tweets, CD Player, bluetooth, XM - Serius radio.
The Donzi effortlessly reaches speeds in excess of 78 mph. The boat handles the Pacific Ocean effortlessly. If taken to the lake it is as stable as if being on level concrete.
