1986 Cougar 21 MTR -Canadian Built MTR With
2018 Mercury Racing 300 Optimax. Great boat just not practical with young kids. Cruises smooth at 40 all the way up to around 80. Still very stable at high speeds. Motivated seller as I’m losing storage at the end of the season. Always been stored out of the water and indoors other than when it was at the house where it was covered with a newer full boat cover.

My Dad and I have owned the boat for 15 years originally with a 2.5 260 mariner. Swapped for a more lake friendly 300xs with more torque recommended by Hydromotive Engineering. Boat has been throughly set up for with pad measurements marked for the hydrolic jack plate.

Motor 2018 Mercury Racing 300 with sport master 1.62 gear case - Low Hours, Maintained Annually per the manual OEM mercury oil and lower unit fluid. Only used with high test and aces additive. Very Clean. 2021Blue Billet Oil tank mount & Battery Box, Comes with Smartcraft Gauge. Runs 86-87 with 4 people in the boat @ 6200 rpm running a 25.5 pitch lab finished hydromotive propeller. Selected by hydromotive after on water testing. Plenty of motor left could be 90 with a DBR racing kit or 27 pitch.


Motor originally ordered by screaming eagle, Will come with bill of sale and history of ownership. (Owners manual original photos from delivery with matching serial number.) I'm the second owner of the motor.
Boat fires right up have not had any issues.

Hull- 40 years old running original transom and original gel. The boat has new carpet, billet, shifter, billet gauge bezels newer gauges along with the mercury smartcraft. Marine fuse box installed with battery cutoff. Billet oil tank and battery box. New billet bezels and pop up cleats. Has large polished aluminum bracing, and knee braces. Hydraulic and setback are factory and in good operational condition. We did test for soft spots in the transom around 4 years ago (nothing found) and filled with west systems ероху. Bulkhead has some damage that was there since we purchased the boat never caused us any issue over the last 15 years of ownership. Which was also repaired with west systems epoxy. There was some fiberglass work done by previous owner I the front left sponson not noticeable. Original interior (seats and sun deck) shows its age. Gel is in good to fair condition was clear coated at one point most has been color sanded to the original gel. Has new windshield that was never installed but will come with sale. I have some custom aluminum banners and sell sheet to go with it.

Trailer - Was painted professionally 8 years back and new bunks were installed. Rust is starting to show through and may need some work to have it road ready if towing out of state (can arrange local repair for serious buyer) We've towed it distance without any issues but hasn’t been on a long trip in quite some time does have ok tires, lights and wiring was also replaced 8 years ago with LEDs. Clear title provided with sale.
