Description
The Fairline 40 has a reputation as a solidly-built, quality flybridge cruiser with well planned accommodation for extended cruising, excellent sea-keeping qualities and good handling at both high and low speeds. This particular example is powered by twin TAMD61 diesels,
Accommodation
The accommodation offers up to eight berths in three cabins and saloon.
Double sliding aluminium doors leading from cockpit to saloon with access to engine bay via wood floor hatches in saloon floor. Teak and teak faced joinery throughout.
SALOON - Large airy saloon, range of fitted cupboards to starboard side including drinks cabinet, glass stowage and a saloon cocktail fridge. Stainless steel framed windows offering panoramic view (four sliding).
HELM POSITION - To port side with double helm seat and full engine instrumentation.
GALLEY - Steps leading down and forward to fully equipped U shaped galley with new counter and appliances, double stainless sink with H&C pressurised water supply and plenty of storage from cupboards above and below. Two opening stainless steel portholes.
MASTER CABIN - Large, king size island berth with access steps to both sides, access to bow thruster beneath berth and two storage drawers. Storage cabinets to both sides with deep hanging locker to starboard. Two opening stainless steel portholes and opening hatch to foredeck with 2 blinds. Mirror on inside of door. Access to en-suite head to port with recently installed Corian worktops and stainless steel sink with H&C supply, Jabsco electric sea toilet, shower with concealed shower curtain and storage. Stainless steel Porthole.
GUEST CABIN - Twin single berths with storage beneath, hanging locker and storage to centre. Large mirror on inside of door, two opening stainless steel portholes.
CREW CABIN - Third cabin with surprisingly good light is accessed via hatch beneath aft seating area of cockpit (not completed). Large hatch with access ladder leading to small cabin offering two offset single berths, Fabulous space for extra storage or two additional guests.

Built in 1983 By Fairline Boats Limited of Oundle to a design by John Bennett. White GRP hard-chine planing hull with white GRP superstructure and flybridge with moulded non-slip to decks. Self draining anchor and gas lockers. Dual steering to flybridge and lower helm.
