Description
Located in Wakefield RI. is this limited production, well maintained, and upgraded 44' Post Sport Fisherman. Whether you're looking for a serious fishing machine or comfortable cruiser, this Post will fill the bill!
The profile of the Post 44 is virtually identical to that of the 43 II model, the boat she replaced in the Post fleet in 1990. Indeed, both are built on the same hull, and the cockpit dimensions and bridge layout are identical as well. But where the Post 43 II had a two-stateroom, galley-down layout, the newer 44 has a two stateroom, two head floor plan with a smaller salon and a mid-level galley. While the actual salon dimensions of the Post 44 are average for a boat this size, the rich teak woodwork, quality furnishings, and upscale dcor are characteristic of Posts sophisticated interiors.
Built for the serious angler, the cockpit has a molded tackle center, two in-deck fish boxes, transom door, and teak covering boards. Topside, the helm console layout and flybridge were state of the art in the early 1990s. A limited production boat, only a few Post 44s were built every year, most had the optional 550hp 6V92s. Shell cruise at a fast 24-27 knots and deliver a top speed of 31 knots.
