16' Chris Craft Cavalier

1964 Deposit New York 16 Chris Craft Cavalier
For Sale is a 1964 Chris Craft Cavalier. This a project boat. This was a barn find and our intention was to bring her back to life. This is one of 629 hulls that Chris Craft built of this model. This one has the optional fiberglass bottom that makes it a no soak wood boat. Chris Craft sold this as an economical ski boat back in the mid 60's. It is a plywood boat and the original finish was rough to say the least. We have taken the boat down to bare wood, smoothed out all the seams and rough spots and had it professionally re-finished. The correct bottom paint has been applied. The interior of the boat was completely stripped and painted white. The intention was to re-build the original engine and re-install. This is where the project stopped and is now available for someone who is looking for a neat ski boat and a great project. We have every piece of the original interior that can be used as a pattern, All the mechanical pieces are included. The boat sits on a trailer that probably needs some new tires to be road worthy. This boat has been sitting indoors since the day it came out of the barn in Brattleboro VT. We are asking $2,500 for this boat.. Located in Deposit New York.

23' Chris Craft Cavalier

1959 Townsend Montana 23 Chris Craft Cavalier
Please contact owner Nina at 406-431-4662 or ninalikechina@gmail.com. Shes a classic midcentury beauty with great lines, sleek design and a beefy V-8 Corvette motor. This twenty-three and half foot 1959 Chris Craft Cruisers (Cavalier) life has been spent on the cold water lakes of central Montana. Arrived in Butte, Montana by rail car in 1959, she spent her first 30 or so years slipped at the Gates of the Mountains marina and voyaged on Holter Lake. As time passed, like any wooden (mahogany) boat, she was in need of some updating. In the 1980s she was entirely restored; engine, hull done with West Marine epoxy resin system, floor boards throughout, custom rope work and cushions, an expanded Bimini over the salon including custom zip off windows - screens, teak swim platform and a canvas slip cover. After another 10 years or so of summer sun on the water and outside storage during harsh winter weather, she had another makeover in 2006. All the wood was stripped, sanded, and beautifully varnished; including repairs to the hull for minor wood rot. The hulls exterior was sealed and resurfaced with the West Marine epoxy resin system and repainted including the boot strip. All bright work was removed, polished, and reattached. The trailer was also updated (sanded, painted, and new bunks). Mechanically, the inboard Corvette V-8 (283) engine was and is still quite sound. However, a new impeller (water pump equivalent) and two marine batteries are needed. Due to a death in our family, our only choice is to let her go. She is currently in dry dock in a covered storage facility. The facility owner is selling the building, so she needs moved before Labor Day. Parting with her is truly a sacrifice. We had a long love affair with her, but now its time that someone else be able to love her too. Wed be delighted to see her on the water again and for someone to enjoy her as much as we did! Details: Chris Craft Cruiser. Year: 1959. Model: Cavalier. Length: 23.5 feet (plus the swim platform). Beam: 6 foot. Engine: Corvette 283 V-8. Gas tank: 35 gallon. Salon: inboard, collapsible captain chairs, cup holders, depth gauge, ship to shore radio. Cabin: sleeps 2, includes: port-a pot, sink, icebox, and movable table (holder in salon also).. Located in Townsend Montana.

27' Chris Craft Cutlass Cavalier

1968 Ogdensburg New York 27 Chris Craft Cutlass Cavalier
Please call owner Lowell at 315-344-2427. Boat is located at Hosmers Marina in Ogdensburg, New York. My 1968 , 27 foot Cutlass Cavalier is for sale. The Dutchess is a beautiful mahogany boat. She is powered by a chevy 327 Marine engine that develops 210 horsepower. The motor was rebuilt in 2016 and currently has 18 hours on it. It runs well and is powerful. The canvas is in great condition. It has two nearly new marine batteries, compass, depth finder, radio. It has a small cabin with sleeping for two. Comes with a quality trailer with surge brakes. 27 feet long and 10 feet wide, stable large enough to carry several adults. Comes with matching bumpers and life jackets. Chris craft built 220 of these beautiful boats on the Grand Banks Dory style. They handle rough weather very well. Top speed about 30 miles per hour and fun to drive. You get lots of attention driving a big Chris Craft, this one has been very well cared for nearly half a century. Stored in heated storage in Winter. The motor runs exceedingly well and has low hours and starts instantly. (Three good automobile mechanics have heard the motor and each volunteered that it was the best running engine they have ever seen). Getting to be too big a boat for me. If you are serious about owning a teak and mahogany boat this one might be a good choice. Call for more information or to set a time to start it and test it on the St. Lawrence.. Located in Ogdensburg New York.
