It is very seaworthy and I would cruise it to Florida without worry.
There is no lower helm, but with the full canvas the upper station is very comfortable.
We have installed two new, adjustable helm seats also.
It draws 30" so getting to the shallow fishing spots is just as easy as getting to the deep ones.
It also has a decent size keel which makes it quite stable.
The hull design allows it to get up on plane quickly so it is more efficient than other boats.
It was Recently Repowered with Twin 1995 Chrysler 360 275 HP engines with approx 700hrs

| I love this boat and I have spend so much money on it recently. It has new canvas top, I spend about $17,000 on rebuilding the engines and drove only 5 hours after that. | Our 1982 Scorpion used only in one lake, Norris Lake, Tennessee, has a MerCruiser 305 cid 260 hp engine that runs great. I added electric fuel pump for quicker starts. New exhaust baffling and replaced sterndrive (Alpha 1) two years ago.
New electric flush toilet with small (6 gal) holding tank. Have portable Todd 29 gal sewage pump and carry on air condition sold with boat.

| I bought this boat a year ago and did a ton of work on it. Ended up getting into a business so not able to use it much. Work done since last spring: Full Marine Survey - copy available, Anti-Fouling bottom paint, Rub & Wax, Oil Change. The following have all been REPLACED in 2008: Head (bought it new, never even hooked it up), Bilge pump, Fuel/water filter, Oil, All belts, Thermostat, Trim Sender, All four trim lines, and the starter. The boat also comes with mooring cover (has small tear on side, but is taped), camping covers, anchor, radio, Fire ext., a couple of life jackets. Hull is in good shape, 2 captain's chairs, gauges work. Runs like new, instant start every time! 575 hours on OMC V-8 Cobra. Sink, Stove, CD player. New Batteires in 06, New gimble bearings & bellows in 2004. No trailer. Boat is in indoor heated storage at ground level, so its accessible. Storage is paid for and included for free!!!
