Like all Fountains, the 31 TE is engineered for unmatched stability while fishing, combining a low center of gravity with a beam that's perfectly matched to the boat's centerline length. Fountain is one of the few manufacturers to use high-density foam, Interplastic vinyl ester resins, and multi-directional fiberglass, and then laminates its hulls and decks together, in a process that is racecourse proven. Other features include: stringers and bulkheads glassed into place for superior structural integrity, heavy-duty trim tabs and hydraulic steering; complete instrumentation; huge insulated fish box with overboard drains; 50-gallon circulating livewell; rod holders; and a self-bailing cockpit liner. The end result is a hull design that needs less horsepower at on-plane speeds, which translates into an extended range and big savings at the fuel dock. If you are ready to move up to the top of the class, without spending a fortune, this 31 TE has been well maintained and lift kept. | This dry stored Triton 2895 CC is a big, beamy 29 footer. She was built to live offshore. The wave shredding, spray shedding deep vee hull will get you out and back in comfort. Every inch of this boat was built with fishability, storage space and comfort in mind. Whether you tackle the Gulf Stream, Carolina Canyons or fish salmon on Lake Michigan, this is one boat that is up to the task. From the high output circular bait well to the dependable Yamaha power, if the fish are biting, you will be in the hunt.
The large in-deck fish box one centerline and two smaller boxes outboard on each side should prove more than adequate to handle your catch. The two baitwells -one in the transom and the other, large one in the leaning post module will hold your our livies and keep them hale and hearty despite the rolling seas. If you troll dead baits, the 2895 boasts two boxes dedicated to holding your rigged baits to keep them close at hand.
Fishing in calm water is pleasant and easy. Fishing in rough water tends to bruise you physically and mentally. The stability and dryness of the 2895 counteracts the mental aspect, while the padded coamings and excellent handholds constitute preventive measures for the physical abuse the sea can mete out.
This Triton provides copious storage for rods and tackle with four holders in gunwales and molded rod lockers under the gunwales. The T-top holds an additional five rods, and the leaning post another four, even more just ahead of the engines.
Design and Construction
Triton builds an all-composite boat. All stringers and below-deck cavities are fully foamed, making the 2895 unsinkable as well as unusually quiet underway. The deck rests on the "Zero-Flex" stringer system comprised of four transverse bulkheads and five longitudinal stringers in a one piece grid.
The Tri-core composite construction mixes fiberglass and polyurethane to produce a material that is strong and dense and that will never rot. Add to that AME 1000 resin and advanced bonding materials that never let go, and you can easily see how Triton can offer a lifetime warranty on every hull.
In addition to the normal"throw-stuff-on-top-of-the-console" storage, Triton builds in two tip-out catchall storage compartments in the bulwarks to either side of the helm console. In front of the leaning post, you'll find more storage and access to all valves.
This fishing boat's concessions to family are the fold-down seat on the transom and the toilet in the console. Well that and the great looks, nice ride, efficient dependable power....Otherwise, you won't find a more serious fishing machine.
Power is from Yamaha 250 HPDI's. Great engines with only 640 hours. The electronics are impressive. A SiTex CVS 106L fish finder, Icom VHF, Northstar 952X plotter.

| If you are in the market for a 24 sport boat then you owe it to yourself to take a look at this Chaparral 236 SSX. The SSX has a head in the port console and L-shaped seating with a transom walk-thru gate.
These days builders have realized that the swim platform can be the most exciting venue on the boat. Chaparral has turned it into a great place to cool off in the water and hang out by adding a cooler compartment in the port side of the platform.
The swim platform extends beyond the stern drive propeller even when the lower unit is in the raised position.
The forward cockpit has foam insulated lockers that can be used as coolers which drain overboard. The backrests in the SSX are at a slightly canted angle which makes for comfortable lounging and also makes extra room in the port console for the head.
The helm lights have a dimmer knob to tone them down at night. Power steering and an engine emergency kill switch. The aircraft-style four-gauges-in-one is pretty cool even though this is a single engine boat. By putting four gauges in one unit right in front of the skipper his eyes can quickly make a clockwise circuit every so often.
Chaparral has cut away the top of the door to make entering the head easier. A Porta-Potti, opening port light with screen and lighting is standard in the SSX head. The head greatly increases the utility of the boat. The SSX has a cockpit table standard, and you should note the wide hinged hatch in the cockpit sole for wakeboards, skis and other stuff. This hatch is wide enough in the SSX version, so if you have wakeboards, you are covered
The L-shaped seating in the SSX makes way for the transom walk-thru. There is a sink and small counter just abaft the companion seat. There is a nice sunpad aft of the settee.
Power is by Mercruiser and the 350 MAG will move you along nicely at upwards of 60 mph.

Prior to saltwater use, the manifolds, risers, starters and raw water pumps were replaced with new, upgraded components (2009

| Starting on the bridge there is comfortable seating for five with a center mounted helm, port and starboard swivel companion seats with a bench seat aft. Along with the electronics there is an impressive layout of instruments with a compass, tilt steering, engine synchronizers, rudder angle indicator for convenience when docking, lit switches, a First Mate SOS system, Clarion CD controls and two storage lockers. The 360-degree view, the cool summer breezes and the pleasure of being surrounded by your friends while at the controls of PARTY OF FIVE is amazing.
Now aft to port and down the molded in-stairs is the cockpit. Features include boarding ladder, four storage lockers built into the transom, two shore power cables and a proper transom door. The transom coaming is wide enough to sit on. There is access to the generator and steering gear through the cockpit sole.
An impressive, curved sliding glass door leads from the aft cockpit into the salon. Plush carpeting and luxurious upholstery combine with high-gloss varnished cherry wood. To starboard is a double pullout couch, rolling ottoman with storage and a U-Line icemaker. Forward to starboard is the electrical panel which is very impressive as all breakers are clearly marked.
Hardwood flooring sets off the attractive and functional galley that includes a coffeemaker, refrigerator and freezer, Corian counter, two-burner stove and convection - microwave oven. Positive latching drawers and a pot-bin plus flip-out cutlery drawer join two provision lockers under the counter and a round, deep sink. Up a few steps and forward is the dinette, which will comfortably seat four.
When it's time to retire, the master is certain to want the forward cabin with a center line V-berth, TV and DVD system, two portholes, deck hatch and generous hanging lockers. Aft and under the dinette is the mid-ships cabin where your guests will enjoy either twin single berths or the converted full sized berth. DVD and Flat screen is provided for their enjoyment.
The head is impressive and bright with double doors, a glass bulkhead to the shower which makes it feel more spacious and vanity with storage.
Beautiful expansive Galley makes it easy to prepare meals and entertain guests! Great storage also! The Dinette is just forward of the Galley and raised. Dinette has (2)curved, bench seats which convert to a double berth.

As you board this vessel from the aft cock pit, right away you notice how much room there is. It would be a great dive operation with the lower aft cockpit. Taking three steps up moving forward another large area for lounging. Moving forward a door leads you to the aft stateroom or you can move forward on either rail along the 4'6" wide companionway that leads all the way to the bow under cover from the upper deck. Each side has 5 large deck boxes for storage. The aft stateroom has a walk around queen bed and walk in closet. Exiting the aft stateroom into a hall on the starboard side move forward to the next door on your left and you are in the head with separate stall shower. Back in the hall moving forward you come to the galley with 2 fridge - freezers and a microwave. The galley counter space looks out over the large main salon, at 12' by 21' there is lots of space and windows all the way around for great views.You can enter the main salon from either side of the vessel. Moving forward through the main salon you descend the ladder to find a remodeled berth with 2 singles on the port side and unfinished berth on the starboard side with 2 singles. There is a large remodeled head with stall shower, washer & dryer and room for one more berth unfinished. Out on the aft cockpit again there is a ladder leading you to the upper deck. It is a large space at 22' by 23' with fridge - freezer and large deep freeze chest and sink with fresh water. The framework is there for the new buyer to have canvas installed for a great spot relax and take in the the fantastic views. From this deck you can go up some more steps to the unfinished large fly bridge with lots of seating.
