Nineteen degree deadrise at the transom.
That's how it was done then.
So, your pushing 11,000 pounds at about 50 MPH, almost 11' wide, 30' long, at something like 50 MPH.
From 1995 model year, no wood anywhere in the construction. That's why I've kept mine, it'll last forever.
We've never had a boat that was as well recieved as the "2950".
What you must keep in mind is the fact that back then 18 and 19 degree deadrise at the transom was pretty standard. We changed to 22 degree at the transom for a better offshore ride.

| 1988 Red Custom Chris Craft Boat
For sale is a 22' 1988 custom Chris Craft Scorpion boat with a canvas top, very clean, very fast, I bought this boat with custom work already done to it. It was converted into an openbow in the front (see pics), comes with life jackets, and anchor. All tags are current , just recently renewed registration, motor runs perfect (starts quicker than my every day driver), it has an mp3 player on the boat with new speakers and all new floor carpet. Only thing that will eventually be changed is the clutch dog since its started to slip a bit (you can see it in the video), i got it quoted for $350 down the street from my house. Im selling it because I do not use it at all. The trailer is in amazing shape with brand spankin new tires and alloy wheels, all lights work and comes with a new floor jack. The fuel was also converted to electric pump. No reserve , I need this boat gone. Heavily-built displacement trawler with covered aft deck. She burns only 5 gph with both engines running at 1700 rpm and generator running! The two stateroom interior has the galley aft in the salon. Last hauled August 2011 with fresh bottom paint. The DeFever 44 is characterized by its sturdy construction.Wide side decks make going forward or aft simple. Access to the pilothouse is through port and starboard sliding doors. The very large aft deck has a full hardtop and features splash guards on the sides and stern. A cabinet for storage features a sink and faucet. A stainless steel ladder takes you down to a teak swim platform, and another stainless steel swim ladder lowers into the water.
