Great custom made trawler located in Puerto Rico ready to take new owners on the adventure of a lifetime. Rigged for easy sailing and beautiful enough to turn all of the heads when she enters the anchorage. She is equipped for cruising and with the recent refit, she is ready to go!
Here's your chance to get a great boat in a great location! This custom Marine Trader has tons of room and Puerto Rico is in the heart of a fantastic cruising area.
Never thought about Puerto Rico. You should! It's an American territory, cheap airfares from the States, close to the Spanish, U.S and British Virgin Islands. Great marinas and two West Marines along with other suppliers will give you lots of support. Check out Culebra and Vieques. These islands are beautiful and are only a few short miles from PR. Returning to the States is easy. You have the trade winds to your back and the Turks and Caicos along with the Bahamas in front of you. I know, I brought my boat back and it was a 6 day sail to Key West with a nice broad reach the entire way. In fact, you sail for days with little to no direction change if you come up the Old Bahama Channel.
This is a custom built 1989 42' Marine Trader Sedan "Europa style" for her original owner, only 3 were built. Current (second) owner performed a major retrofitting in 2007 when vessel was purchased (see detailed description below). Boat has a flared bow and a deep keel for a smooth, dry ride. She has a large cockpit, galley up, and a guest room, all custom built. Her 18" wide decks make her a very safe vessel and easy to move around. She has optional Cummins 210 hp engines with optional Hurth hydraulic transmissions which cruise her at 12-14 knots (estimated 10-12 gallons - hr both engines ) or at a trawling speed of 9 knots (3 gallons - hr both engines). She is ready to go; perfect boat for cruising, diving and fishing.. Located in Puerto Rico . |

| 1989 Marine Trader Sedan Cockpit- OWNER LOOKING FOR OFFERS!
Completely updated, painted varnished, updated counter tops, etc. etc. etc (Owner is maintaining and updating her with an "open wallet"). Very nice cruising boat, located on the south side of Puerto Rico, just a short run to the Virgin Islands. Owner is "swallowing the hook" and moving to a coffee farm in Puerto Rico but not before totally updating this boat. I have been aboard and she looks as good as the pictures make her look. | Now's the time, don't wait! Great weather coming and you don't want to miss it, do you? Invest in this boat now and enjoy the full season.
Head to Mexico, marlin fishing or enjoying the dirt cheap, mouth watering lobster and your own fresh caught fish,
as you watch the golden sun setting over the pacific.
Take in Florida's white sand beaches and work on your golden brown tan or head up the Coast to Vancouver or
anywhere else your imagination will take you.
This is the boat for the trip.
You don't have to join the Navy to see the world, you can see a lot of it on one tank of diesel!
Imagine the faraway, exotic islands you could visit in your own ocean worthy home and you're the captain.
Save money by trading me your home and moving aboard your own seagoing bungalow.
My nephew, in Oregon, sometimes makes $2,472 a day catching tuna and this boat is perfect for that.
With Twin Ford Lehman Diesel Engines, 8 knots at approx. 2 gal. per hour you can travel economically, saving you money.
--300 gal fuel tank - gets you around 800-900 nautical miles away into paradise, where could you travel in800-900 nautical miles?
--250 gal. fresh water tank - Lots of fresh drinking water to hydrate you on extended trips.
14'-6" Beam - No cramped quarters in this baby
I'd ideally like to cash out but will consider any real estate you may have. Boat is currently docked in San Diego.
Might consider a trade for bare land or a home anywhere in the western U.S.
Trade for real estate value of $175,000 or Cash price $124,900.
Want to check it out this weekend? I've got several people looking at it so don't put it off!
Let's chat, call Jo at 775-450-3139. Located in Incline Village Nevada. |

BROKER'S COMMENTS
The Marine Trader 38 Double Cabin was designed an delivered with teak decks that after 13 years had deteriorated. Owner had the main decks stripped of teak, re-fiberglassed and all-gripped, sealing and strenghthening the deck to prevent water intrusion into the vessel.
Upon completion of the 3 month deck project owner had the vessel hauled and bottom repainted in April 2012.. Located in ST PETERSBURG Florida. |

This is a great example of Marine Traders Labelle. The owner has done a lot of good things to this boat. The hardest things have been done, such as the fuel tanks being replaced, new drive shafts and new generator. Finishing some of the cosmetic things will bring big rewards. This boat will make someone a fantastic liveaboard or cruiser. Located in Titusville Florida. |
