| I am selling my 18' 1979 Hydrostream V-king. This classic V-hull speedboat has tons of upgrades and has been fully restored with new stringers and floor, sliding seat mounts, sound system, hydraulic steering, and more! It is powered by a 1988 150HP Mariner outboard and will kiss 70MPH on glass.
The boat has been fully restored to seaworthiness with a host of maintenance items, repairs, and upgrades. Full list:
-Stringers and floor completely gutted and restored with Aeromarine epoxy resin, wood core, and fiberglass
-Original metal flake paint with fresh clear coat

-Manual jackplate
-150HP Mariner outboard with fresh paint job and new decals

The motor has also undergone a thorough refresh with all carburetors rebuilt, new fuel lines, new primer bulb, new rectifier, new water pump impeller, and lower unit oil changed. It runs like a champ and will SCREAM AND FLY! It is still rocking the original blue - silver - gold metal flake and looks out of this world on a bright sunny day.
This boat is a total blast and has been a fun ongoing project for me. I'm just about out of things to fix on it, and I have a handle on a new project boat that sounds interesting and fun, so the time has come to list the Hydrostream.
Hydrostreams of this vintage are increasingly rare, and many of those you find are rotten to the core and need all the restoration this boat has already had. It needs NOTHING! | This is my recently acquired vegas xt bought it 2 months ago,but i stumbled across a 76 george linder 21' challenger that was a raced in the ocean in florida but is in need of full restoration.So onto this boat all the work is out of the way on this one,the man i bought it from was the original owner he had a company in st clair shores MI recore re string and put a new floor - carpet - upholstery in the boat he gave me pictures of the whole process this was in late 2010.The 7000 dollar price if for the boat with a great running 200 mariner,rigged for merc i would be asking 4700 firm,the restoration was just shy of 5000 .Properly set up with a 200 these boats can see 80-90 mph, mariner comes with a merc laser 2 prop which is a great ski - family propeller but will only get the boat too around 70,75 with a skilled pilot.

Oil injection has been removed to prevent engine damage and a brand new Th marine hydraulic jack plate has been installed. The trailer is in good shape and has 2 brand new rims - tires.
