| I am selling my 18' 1979 Hydrostream V-king. This classic V-hull speedboat has tons of upgrades and has been fully restored with new stringers and floor, sliding seat mounts, sound system, hydraulic steering, and more! It is powered by a 1988 150HP Mariner outboard and will kiss 70MPH on glass.
The boat has been fully restored to seaworthiness with a host of maintenance items, repairs, and upgrades. Full list:
-Stringers and floor completely gutted and restored with Aeromarine epoxy resin, wood core, and fiberglass
-Original metal flake paint with fresh clear coat
-New carpet
-Manual jackplate
-150HP Mariner outboard with fresh paint job and new decals
-Seastar hydraulic steering (BRAND NEW - $900 upgrade)
-Sony sound system with MB Quart NAU260 amplifier
-Sliding seat mounts
-Two stainless steel propellers (one for speed - cruising, one for skiing)
-Custom ski pylon
-Original single axle trailer restored

-Electrical system completely restored with new wiring, fuses, and interior lighting
-New Optima Bluetop battery w - battery switch
-New 600GPH bilge pump with float switch
The motor has also undergone a thorough refresh with all carburetors rebuilt, new fuel lines, new primer bulb, new rectifier, new water pump impeller, and lower unit oil changed. It runs like a champ and will SCREAM AND FLY! It is still rocking the original blue - silver - gold metal flake and looks out of this world on a bright sunny day.
This boat is a total blast and has been a fun ongoing project for me. I'm just about out of things to fix on it, and I have a handle on a new project boat that sounds interesting and fun, so the time has come to list the Hydrostream.
Hydrostreams of this vintage are increasingly rare, and many of those you find are rotten to the core and need all the restoration this boat has already had. It needs NOTHING! | Very clean boat and trailer.Has full canvas cover for boat and engine. Factory gelcoat in excellent shape for a 1979. Motor is a 1992 mercury 2.5 200.motor is spotless, will not find a cleaner 92 merc motor. jackplate, hot foot, 18gal fuel tank.will run in the high 70's on gps. boat and motor have been in the family since new.
