2011 Mercury Optimax 300XS with 45 hours, 100% stock except for the removal of the stock flywheel weight and cavitation plate from gear case (recommended by boat manufacturer). Engine is only 2 months old, with nearly 2 years left in its warranty. There are options for extended warranties.
The boat was professionally re-rigged with the current 300XS from the former 2.5 - 280 by filling all holes in transom - kneewall braces and strengthening transom for the added weight - horsepower of the 3.2.
BBlades Blaster 32 pitch prop, with less then 5 hours.
The CMC electric jackplate was re-installed at higher location on transom to accommodate the 20" mid 300XS.
Steering is IMCO single ram with Capilano helm.
The boat was also re-rigged with an Odyssey ER 40 battery and twin 1100 gph auto - manual bilge pumps for weight savings - safety.
Also installed low water pickup line to existing thru-hull bottom pickup.
Aluminum plates were fiberglassed - gelcoated into the floors for solid front seat mounting.
It has a custom plexiglass windshield fabricated - installed, plus also has the original fiberglass fairing to go with the boat.
Custom full cover that covers the boat down past the chine and the entire motor.

4000 rpm is 65 mph at 12.5 gph
5000 rpm is 82 mph at 17.0 gph

Best top speed of 106mph was attained using a vented cowl. Because of the extra noise from the vent, the girlfriend vetoed the vented cowl, and it was sold off and replaced with a stock cowl.
Overall we rate this boat a solid 9.5
As far as a used boat goes its truly a 10, but we save the 10 rating for new, off the showroom floor, never seen water, boats.
It is 100% turn key ready. It was 'in service' up until we did the photo shoot and pulled it out of the water for display in our showroom.
