The 42 Ocean was one of the new generation sport fish's introduced in the early 1990's. They had a more streamlined appearance than previous models including a revised hull with additional transom deadrise and a shallower, slightly longer keel. These changes made for improved handling and a better rough water ride. With the optional 485 HP Detroits the boat will cruise at 26 knots and top out at 30 knots.
The teak interior is arranged with a walkaround double berth in the forward master stateroom and a double (plus a slide-out single) berth in the guest stateroom. The galley is forward in the salon, opposite the L-shaped dinette, and a icemaker aft, adjacent to the sliding salon door.
The cockpit is loaded with a full array of fishing amenities including cockpit controls, bait freezer, transom door, tackle locker, large fish box, and a in-floor livewell. Additional features include a hardtop, new set of outriggers, bow pulpit, stainless steel bow rail, stainless steel cleats, 3-large deck hatches, fresh & saltwater washdown, electric windless anchor, remote operated spotlight, and 50 amp shore power service.
This boat was just completley painted in Alexseal from the rubrail up. Interior carpet has just been replaced and new Corian countertops have been installed in the galley and above the aft salon icemaker. In the galley you will also find a new stainless steel Kitchen Aid dishwasher, new stainless steel Summit fridge - freezer, new Summit glass cooktop, stainless steel sink, and a Sharp convection microwave. On the starboard side aft of the galley there is also a new ultra leather convertable couch.

Entering from either port or starboard sliding doors takes you into the open and bright salon. A high end Flexsteel pull out sleeper sofa can accomodate guests. Two comfortable loungers offer a comfortable seating for entertaining and watching the big flat panel LCD television that's on a swing mount. The lower helm station has a newly upholstered Flexsteel helm seat that gives you great visibilty ahead. Forward to port is a counter area with two bar stools and storage below. Superstructure is constructed of molded fiberglass with a painted finish. The bulkheads and paneling are teak and vinyl covered plywood. The boat is quipped with a Teak anchor pulpit and the boat rails are stainless steel, with handrails along the cabin. The engines are fresh water cooled and are equipped with 2 helm stations upper and cockpit with Morse cable type controls with a Glendenning synchronizer and engine alarms for low engine oil pressure and gauges for temperature, oil pressure, volts and engine hours. Fuel lines are USCGA approved type A-1. The ventilation system consists of induction - exhaust vents on port and starboard sides of the hull, and two 12 volt blowers. The engine mounts are bolted to longitudinal stringers and are adjustable. The exhaust system is a rubber hose to FRP mufflers and out each side to the stern via fiberglass and rubber exhaust tubes.
