Milan Sport Boats was formed by former Bluewater employees after the company was bought by Kal Kustom. It operated for a few years before ceasing to trade in 2005. The reason for this is apparently unknown.In its time, Milan Sport Boats built retro-styled sports boats that were definitely European in their design and styling. Despite this, they seem to have been well received by American boaters, and still have quite a following even today. Milan Sport Boats can be seen at marinas along the West Coast towing skiers or just enjoying the water. The build quality was said to be excellent. The hull was constructed from marine timber, covered in a pre-fix vinyl skin. The interiors were also vinyl and canvas, and finished to a very high standard. Each boat was hand built, and even at their height, Milan Sport Boats were only producing 8 boats a month, which may have contributed to their downfall.
Milan Sport Boats are scarce on the open market right now because of the low numbers produced, this keeps their residual value high. A 1999 200 SK Bowrider will cost around $15,000, and a 2005 200 SK $11,000.. Located in Fife Washington. |
