Typical Double Cabin classic trawler, with the great layout of a forward cabin and large aft cabin, making it very easy for two couples or a small family to cruise. Forward cabin has a large v-berth with an enclosed head - shower (electric head). A large butterfly hatch is above for great ventilation. Nice storage under the berth. Hanging locker with easy access to interior helm controls. A small door behind the forward steps allows access to the engine room. The galley, salon and interior helm are all on the deck level. Settee has seating for 6. Down the aft stairs, leads to the master stateroom. The berth is offset to port which makes for a large cabin. There are two hanging lockers, drawers for storage, a desk and chair. The head has a tub - shower combination and an electric head. This cabin has it's own dedicated 16K BTU reverse cycle air conditioning system w - electronic controls. 'Kara Anne' is a rare late model Marine Trader 38 Double Cabin powered by a single 210HP Cummins diesel (only 920 hours) enabling the vessel to cruise comfortably at 8-9 MPH, burning only 3 GPH and has a top speed of 10 MPH. Features include a Northern Lights 8KW Lugger Genset (336 hours) , Bow thruster & Stern thruster, (3) Reverse Cycle A - C units, Upper & Lower Helm stations, an expansive fully enclosed flybridge with seating for up to 10 persons and a lower aft deck that offers even more space topside.
Her richly appointed air conditioned interior has two staterooms, forward and aft and two heads. The Marine Trader 38 Double Cabin was designed an delivered with teak decks that after 13 years had deteriorated. Owner had the main decks stripped of teak, re-fiberglassed and all-gripped, sealing and strenghthening the deck to prevent water intrusion into the vessel.
Upon completion of the 3 month deck project owner had the vessel hauled and bottom repainted in April 2012.. Located in ST PETERSBURG Florida. |
