This all steel coastwise unrestricted vessel was designed for ice breaking now to be someone's personal expedition yacht - workboat - research vessel at a fraction of the cost of anything else available.
It has experienced a vast number of upgrades over its recent life, including modern ship docking and steering systems, upgraded electrical generating equipment, main engine and coatings. Transversely at the helm is found a raised, and leveled, mahogany console brightly varnished found in very good condition.
Steering is by twin port and starboard hydraulic jog levers.
The pilothouse is finished with varnished wood paneling, doorframes being wood and window frames metal with varnished wooden features.

We found the overall condition of the wheelhouse very good. ACCOMMODATIONS
Below the bow within the forecastle is a finished room, reportedly used by the previous owner as a living space. it is finished with hard wood flooring, painted and insulated bulkheads with a newly installed 3,000 USG potable water tank centrally located within. A large wooden desk was found against the forward bulkhead.
There are two (2) crew berthing rooms, each found on the main deck, both forward the upper engine room space. Directly opposite and aft the galley with a door off the transverse companion way is a two (2) berth (bunk) crew cabin, with a single sink and a storage locker. The chief engineer's cabin is fitted along the forward starboard side of the upper engine room on the main deck. A crews shower and head is located to starboard, aft within the upper engine room on the main deck within the after most compartment. Within this compartment a small washer and dryer unit is fitted along with one of two steering pumps.
A galley space is fitted forward and to port on the main deck and contains a stainless steel basin sink. A four (4) burner stove and oven, a Frigidair microwave oven is fitted along the port side bulkhead. A Dandy Model DFF8803 refrigerator is fitted along the aft bulkhead. Fitted transversely and to the starboard bulkhead is a crew's dining table with a settee fitted along the forward bulkhead with storage below.
Lighting about the vessel is considered good, powered by ship service and AC shore power. Heating is by oil fired forced hot water furnace.
The masters room is fitted with a small AC along the after bulkhead.
Water tight hatches all fitted with painted insulation. The interior of the vessel is found to be in very good condition. The hull was found well coated and with plate thickness of.303 in way of the keel cooler to as much as .830 near the waterline where the hull appears strengthened.. Located in Boston Massachusetts.|
