| "Always On My Mind" is a most exquisite example of an Art DeFever designed vessel and has been totally restored and refitted from stem to stern and from the bottom of her keel to the top of her radar arch, a project that spanned 4 years. Having been Awlgripped from the waterline up, she returns this early DeFever classic to an era when trawlers first became the Yachtsman's ticket to head out and cruise the American Waterway's. Built of solid construction materials and techniques by Downeast Yachts, a California-based builder, they became known as the Downeast 40, an improved version of the original DeFever 40 Passagemaker as Downeast hulls were further strengthned by a full cabin and engine room liner. See full specs for the details on this vintage lady that can elegantly cruise the pristine Bahamian waters and take you along the coast or interior through America's magnificent waterways.

| "Kristina" is a three time Cabo veteran. In 2005 she received a total refit by the owner including the following: All exterior teak was stripped, replaced where needed, re-calked, and refinished. All interior teak was refinished where needed. All old wiring was removed and replaced where needed, all new electronics including Radar, GPS, and Radar. All canvas covers were repaired or replaced, all exterior fiberglass was refinished where needed, the Lehman diesel was reconditioned where needed and has a mechanical survey rating its condition as "EXCELLENT" Both heads have been upgraded with new hoses and fittings, all stainless fittings have been replaced throughout. A new diesel Northern Lights generator set was installed in 2004. Everything works and is operational on this vessel. She is a semi-displacement all fiberglass hull and cruises at 8.9 knots with a top of 11.5 knots (light). She is a Defever design and identical to the current models with a base price of over $385,000.00 August 2006 survey states a loan and insurance value of $110,000.00. She was pulled twice during the refit, both times getting bottom paint (there are no blisters). The prop has been returned. In essence, this vessel is as close to NEW as a vessel of this age could be. She shows pride of ownership and will give someone many years of good service. Owner would consider a partial trade for a smaller sport fishing boat, and would consider financing the vessel with substantial down payment. Defever is located at Space A1, Spud Point Marina, Bodega Bay, CA.. Located in Bodega Bay California. |

| Our 44 has twin Lehman 135 engines with 3150 hours. If run at 1600rpm you will burn approximately 1.5gal - hour - engine. The Westerbeke 12.5kw generator has 2750hours. She is equipped with Naiad Stabilizers which makes for a very comfortable ride even in bad conditions. The outside seals on the stabilizers were replaced in May 2012 when she was last hauled for routine maintenance. Every switch, light, pump, etc works on this boat. When anything needs to be repaired - replaced no expense is spared. My husband has vast mechanical knowledge and experience and we would love to sell her to someone who will understand and appreciate the level of maintenance and care she has received for the last 14 years. Three separate Cruisair air conditioning units provide adequate air when the temperature is very hot. Many 44 come with only two. This boat also has the original gelcoat-it has never been painted.
Interior wood is in beautiful condition-no fading. List of upgrades, maintenance and equipment can be obtained by contacting owner.. Located in Michigan. |

Stabilized - Raised Pilothouse - Long Rage Cruiser
The 49 De Fever Raised Pilothouse was specially designed by Art De Fever to safely cruise the Pacific Coast Her heavy seas abilities makes for safe and comfortable passages. The classic styling of the Portuguese bridge and covered side decks makes this boat a stand out in any marina or anchorage. This boat has been very well cared for and improved by the owner and when you see the attention to detail you will be very pleased.
"DeFever is one of the most enduring names in Long Range Cruisers that you'll find. There was an article in April Passage maker Magazine on a 45 yr old DeFever that's still going strong. I like the classic lines of these LRC's. Their designers really had an eye for style and proportion. I'd say they're in a class almost by themselves, well I'd put them up there with Selene's, Ocean Alexander's and Flemings." Internet comment.
"One of the great cruising boats patterned after the Alaskan that Art DeFever designed for Grand Banks. The Alaskan touched off the popular design style known as a raised pilothouse cruiser that has been copied by everyone else over the years. This is another great cruiser for a couple and occasional guests in the second stateroom. The pilothouse is perfect for long passages and cold or rainy weather. And the bridge atop the pilothouse gives the best possible view of shallow waters for sight navigation. She has a range of over 1000 miles." De fever Club Review.. Located in San Diego California. |
