Having been Awlgripped from the waterline up, she returns this early DeFever classic to an era when trawlers first became the Yachtsman's ticket to head out and cruise the American Waterway's. Built of solid construction materials and techniques by Downeast Yachts, a California-based builder, they became known as the Downeast 40, an improved version of the original DeFever 40 Passagemaker as Downeast hulls were further strengthned by a full cabin and engine room liner.
