This is a Chesapeake Bay Boat built in wood by Price Bros in Virginia in 1954 In 1997-8, I covered it with fiberglass using Allen Vaites method where the fiberglass is mechanically attached to the hull using 40,000 X 1.5 inch staples. I laminated 8,500 lbs of alternating Roving and Mat. A minimum of 8 laminations were done with double this on corners and triple in the keel area. No boat on the market is as strong as this boat. For all intent and purposes it is now a fiberglass boat and after more than 14 years has no rot or humidity inside. The inside has changed a bit since the pictures were taken and still need some finishing work. It is very usable as is since I have lived on it for many years.
