| BY-13 is a recreational fi shing boat with displacement
chambers to keep fl oating ability in case of overkeel or
a cockpit fl ooding. For the sake of its size, the boat is
equipped with an electric motor or a combustion engine
of power up to 29.4 kW. It is also possible to propel
the boat using oars after installing rowlocks.
The boat is characterized by great transverse stability
six people standing on one side do not cause water
gathering through boards. When there are three
people on board and there is 30 KM engine installed,
the boat is reaching a planing craft at the speed of 22
knots approximately. In the big stern locker there are:
a fuel tank, a battery, a bilge pump as well as accessories
such as an anchor, ropes etc. Under the deck, in
the bow section, the second locker of 600 l capacity is
placed. It is possible to load the equipment into the
locker through two separate fl aps. A wheelhouse with
a wind shield (in which a rudder together with rudder
chains is installed) as well as a tachometer and a fuel
gauge are available on request.

This is a Chesapeake Bay Boat built in wood by Price Bros in Virginia in 1954 In 1997-8, I covered it with fiberglass using Allen Vaites method where the fiberglass is mechanically attached to the hull using 40,000 X 1.5 inch staples. I laminated 8,500 lbs of alternating Roving and Mat. A minimum of 8 laminations were done with double this on corners and triple in the keel area. No boat on the market is as strong as this boat. For all intent and purposes it is now a fiberglass boat and after more than 14 years has no rot or humidity inside. The inside has changed a bit since the pictures were taken and still need some finishing work. It is very usable as is since I have lived on it for many years. LOA 60 Beam 17 draft 310 Engines 2 X 6-71 Detroits NA It has autopilot, VHF radio, depth sounders, 1500 W inverter, freezer, refrigerator, washer, dryer, gas stove, dinghy, outboard motor, 2 X 15K BTUs Air conditioning units brand new.
