14' Chris-Craft Custom Kit

1952 Bryans Road Maryland 14 Chris-Craft Custom Kit
Completed in April 2013, this little 1952 Chris-Craft classic kit runabout, winner of the prestigious Best Outboard Boat award at the 26th annual Antique and Classic Boat Society Chesapeake Bay Chapter Antique and Classic Boat Festival. originally assembled by Norman W. Bailey of Newmarket N.J. has been these last two years: completely and painstakingly renovated with expert craftsmanship and the finest materials and hardware available. It had been abandoned in a neighbor's backyard on the Potomac for a few years, and before it was too late I intervened. The boat was given to me for lack of a better alternative and I started the lengthy process, stripping the hull bare, replacing damaged pieces, and restructuring separated marine plywood deck with Sepele Mahogany. All original wood sealed with CPES epoxy (inside and out) and joints secured with West Systems. Sikaflex adhesive sealant caulk on deck to match wood color. 3 coats of Pettit - Bikini Blue on hull and 7 coats of Z-Spar on deck. Matching exterior grade latex paint on hull interior to help wood breath and dampness evaporate. Flush cleats and electrical switching by Attwood and Cole Hersee Co.-U.S.A. respectively, signal horn by Roca-Sweden, fairleads and stern light by Osculati-Italy, and steering cable pulleys by Ronstan-Australia. All bronze and stainless screws! The boat is extremely stable and is built comfortably to the pilot and passenger. The 1957 Mercury Mark 55E was completely rebuilt by a professional mechanic and comes with a guarantee. The boat includes original Mastercraft trailer, electric ignition, horn, both bow and stern lights as well as a fire extinguisher and clear title. It is a sweet little boat and one of a kind... But I need to make room for, and finance yet bigger and better projects! I have $14,000 invested in it and I'm looking to make a small profit. Make me an offer.. Located in Bryans Road Maryland.

45' Chris Craft DCFB with Extended Hard Top

"Rair Ride" is a great example of a 1954 45 foot cruiser. She's about 50 foot over all, but back in the 50s they only measured what was wet. For reference the pictures show her at our 60 foot outside dock. She has been in my care for the last 10 years. Always in fresh water on Lake Erie & always stored out of sun and weather in our boat house on our own custom full keel hoist. Hull and superstructure are of course mahogany and in excellent condition. Decks are teak and freshly protected with Sickens. Interior recently redone in 1950s style in shades of aqua and pink. Mechanically she is powered by twin 327ci GM blocks (210 hp each) with Paragon trans. This makes her very easy to maintain and parts are a snap to come by. Uses no motor oil in an entire season. The port side trans does leak a bit, but it's very minor. The motors get her up on plane to cruise about 15 knots. Fuel consumption is roughly 29 gallons per hour at cruise. Fuel tankage is 300 gallons. There are two heads or toilets, in the V-bunk & other is in the Master aft and is a vacu-flush unit. The main salon is air-conditioned with a window type unit exhausting to the fly bridge. There is an Kohler generator which powers all 110v nicely. Modern touches include a Garmin color map GPS unit and radar. There are also marine radio and a JVC stereo with two sets of Bose weatherproof speakers. Main salon includes a full wet bar with sink and ice maker. Recovered hide-a-bed in salon sleeps two. Salon has custom silhouette blinds. Galley has a fridge, two burner stove, and microwave. Dinette is Formica, and cushions are recently recovered. The dinette will convert to sleep two if needed. V-birth forward sleeps two stacked to starboard and includes sink and head. V-birth mattress cushions are recently recovered. Stateroom aft includes two twin beds, cabinetry and full bath with shower. Aft en-suite head has shower and vacu-flush toilet. I would not say the bilges are spotless but are very clean. She has three bilge pumps, forward middle and aft. Includes all furnishings, electronics, full canvass, two spare props, 2 spare prop shafts, lines, etc. Also included is a custom made 10 foot lap strake dingy of West System construction. This is hung on davits and has a 2.5 HP Nisan outboard. Just last year we stained, re-wested and varnished the dingy to match the red mahogany of the cruiser. The only reason for selling is that we now live on the water full time and do not have a need any more for a vessel of this size. Wife wants something smaller. Kids want something faster. Guess I don't get what I want. If you maintain this craft as we have it will not depreciate. Serious buyers can be put in direct contact with my marine carpenter who will vouch for hull condition. We also have quite a bit of documentation, paperwork and manuals which go with the boat. She is located in Sandusky Bay Lake Erie, halfway between Cleveland and Toledo, Ohio. Personal inspections are encouraged. I would not hesitate to operate her anywhere on the Great Lakes or travel any distance. Storage till spring or later is fine. Boat is on its cradle now so bottom inspection is easy. Weight is AROUND 25 TON WET I THINK.. Located in Marblehead Ohio.

26' Chris Craft Sea Skiff

1958 Hauppauge New York 26 Chris Craft Sea Skiff
This is a 1958 Chris Craft Sea Skiff that my family is the original owners of. It is a 26 foot lap strake hull that is sound with no damage. This boat is the perfect project for anyone interested in wood boats! All trim pieces are on the boat with nothing missing. The original 6 cyl engine was swapped out for a more reliable 4 cyl Volvo Penta in 1990. She was last run in 1992 and I have not played with the engine. There are two spots on the lower part of the bow that will need attention (see pictures). - br The interior of the boat has the optional mahogany lining so that ribs are not exposed. This is seen throughout the boat and is visible in my pictures. There is a cuddy cabin in the nose with two beds and a head. My grandfather had all the cushions remade around 1990 and they have been stored indoors since then. There is a fixed canvas top. This boat has been stored on blocks since 1992. Shrink wrapped until 2000 but always outdoors. The metal framing above the hull is the removable shrink wrap framing. This is not bolted to hull whatsoever. There is NO TRAILER. Chris Crafts are highly collectible boats and when restored this boat will be the perfect addition to any collection. Sea Skiffs were well known as durable and dependable vessels. Make this collectable piece of Chris Craft history apart of your family. Please contact me with any questions that you may have. I am unable to upload more photos but please email me directly for additional images. Asking $6500 but willing to negotiate.. Located in Hauppauge New York.

13' Custom Seabolt Classic Runabout

1958 Boise Idaho 13 Custom Seabolt Classic Runabout
Please contact the owner directly @ 208-342-4207 o jsebolt@mac.com. 1958 SeaBolt This vintage one of a kind 14 foot runabout with a 64 inch beam was handcrafted in Pennsylvania in 1958 by a Master craftsman out of Straight Grain fir, Mahogany, Oak and Mahogany Marine plywood. Originally designed and built as the prototype for the start of a boat company, this boat was used on the Rivers and lakes around Western Pennsylvania and the Lakes of Upstate NewYork from 1958 through 1966. Rock solid construction with all Solid Oak Ribs and Battens and Solid Oak reinforced Chines. The Gunwales and deck Materials are solid Mahogany. Deck inlays are Solid straight grain fir. Mahogany Marine Grade 3 - 8" plywwod on the bottom of the hull and Mahogany Marine grade 1 - 4" Plywood for the sides of the hull. Entire Hull covered in Fiberglass. On the Solid Mahogany dash you have a steering wheel by Perko, a pull switch for the running lights to the right of the steering wheel and a pushbutton for the Airhorn at the center. The airhorn still has the original air cannister connected to it and it still works! There are snaps across the top of the windscreen to attach the leading edge of the included bimini top. The 1950's era Mercury Kiekhaefer Mark 55 Thunderbolt Four 40 HP Pull Start engine with steering and throttle connections is connected to the Quicksilver Throttle - Transmission control unit by Kiekhaefer with kill switch located at the drivers seat. It's fed by 2 Mercury portable - removable 6 gallon gas tanks under the decking at the stern accessible through the removable hatch on the rear decking directly in front of the engine. All of this sits atop a single axle bunk trailer from PolarKraft with a spare tire - wheel This boat is in fantastic shape and would require minimal work to complete. The hull is water tight and in great shape. Here are the things I would do... The straight grain fir decking could stand to have the caulking between the wood redone. (When the boat was relocated to Boise from Pennsylvania, the difference in humidity caused the caulking to shrink and pull away from the boards a bit exposing some gaps between the caulking and the wood. Minor repair) Fuel system Make sure tanks are clean, They have been in storage for many years. They were drained and cleaned before they were put in storage. Electrical system - Lights...replace the battery and ensure all bulbs are working. Motor... A new impeller was installed about 10 years ago and the engine had great pull on the starter cord and compression. Should be good to go but check it over. Maintained by a trained aircraft mechanic. Windscreen... It's plexiglass. Polish it up and reinstall. Need a couple of nuts to fasten it to the deck. Water test the completed rig to ensure all is good, register and enjoy on a beautiful lake. This boat used to pull waterskiers and still will. My plans for it included the light restoration described above and then enjoy it in McCall Idaho while cruising around on Payette lake looking at the lake homes. I can provide additional photos via email of specific details as required. Just let me know what you want to see. Questions welcome!. Located in Boise Idaho.
