Designed and constructed by a sea captain with 46 years experience in the fishing industry who holds a PHD in Oceanography but not in wooden boatbuilding.
The boat's double-bottom self-bailing cockpit gives her the safety of added flotation. Her 7ft1in beam carries an ample size center console which can seat two ahead of the binnacle with storage space for life jackets, battery installation, etc. The boat has 2 lateral seats which can seat 6 people and a forward seat that is a storage locker that can hold an anchor line. There are also 2 large utility boxes under the 2 lateral seats with pull out drawers .
The boat is constructed of oak frames, blue rock pine, white ash, marine plywood, and is fiberglass reinforced.
She awaits an outboard package and helm controls.

| 1991 baja 190 dsr. I am selling the boat because i don't have time to take it out anymore in the summer and it simply takes up to much room in my garage. This boat has been stored inside and is in good overall shape. Ready for the water. It has one little nick in the front of the bow because it hit the trailer when loading once. It also has a small mark on the rear left side, these marks were in the boat when i bought it and do not affect the strength of the boat or hurt the performance. I have pictures posted of these two spots. I have also manufactured the ski pole that is installed on the boat. It was made for wakeboarding and is very sturdy and works well for either wakeboarding or sking. The pole is removeable to back into low clearance doors. I also have a bow cover and boat cover that goes with the boat. The engine is a 4.3 liter with a mercury outboard drive unit. This boat is rated for 8 people or 1200 pounds. | Nice 1978 Powerboat 30' Bayliner Encounter Flybridge - "Light boat project" in need of a rebuilding work on 1 engine. 1 engine runs fine. Needs good cleaning and varnish work done all around outside hull painting. The inside is very nice.
I bought it last winter on eBay and paid to have it moved to a secured dry storage facility. After my purchased, the mechanic found that one engine was seized and was in need of being rebuilt.
I purchased this boat because it is a clean, perfect candidate for a "live on board yacht" and I wanted to tow it away to the East Coast on a trailer.
About the boat: The hull is in fine shape - The paint all around is in fair shape. The top bridge is clean and good. All of the canvas tops are good and boat comes with complete set of plastic covers for back area (canvas holder on flybridge needs to be screwed in for two bolts). Curtains needs to be replaced in a few areas. The interior of this boats can accomodate to sleep 4 to 5. The bathroom is clean. The carpets have some wear marks and stains. Vent above front bed has small leak. The floor is solid and the kitchen in good shape, all appliances are in working order and they all look clean.
