|Please call owner Greg at 508-328-7848. Boat is in Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
North Sea Cutter hull number 6 was purchased 3 years ago to cruise the intercostal from Newport RI to Florida. We searched for 3 years to find a boat that would be suitable for this trip in comfort with many amenities and in a safe manner. NSC is one of the only boats have only two steps to go from the main deck to fly bridge. The boat has two heads, with showers and bath tub and three separate sleeping areas, 3 zones of heat and air. We have had 3 couples stay comfortably on the boat for more than a week. This fast Trawler style boat is both a fast and efficient cruiser at 15 Knots burns with the twin Yanmar engines together about 15-18 gph. Onan 8MD generator with only 100 hours.
We are willing to consider a trade of another smaller type fishing boat!!
REDUCED TO SELL FROM $229,000.
I am the second owner of the boat; I am listing all the major upgrades that have been added to the original boat that separate our boat "KOT'IJ" from any other NSC on the market. Plus I feel that between me and the prior owner we have worked out all of the issues that have been a concern with these NSC boats. All the work has been completed by one of the most Trusted and competent Albin Dealers, Standish Boat Yard in Tiverton, RI. Just for comparison this Hull is a HUNT design, and is similar hull to the hulls for the Sabre 43, and the East Bay 43 that cost over 100K more. We are selling our boat because both family situation, wife's health and we have aging parents and our own business will not allow us to take time away to complete this voyage. Our boat is one of the only a few NSC that has full size Fridge and Freezer in the galley. The custom interior of teak and holy impresses all that come aboard. Just had all the exterior teak professionally re-done with two coat of sealer and 8 coats of Varnish.
Upgrades Include the following: Ray Marine electronics Chart plotter Radar Series E 80, Autopilot, Side power Bow Thruster w - two station with wireless lanyard remote, New 6 @ 8D AGM Batteries, New cushions for cabins and for fly bridge, Custom Captain and first Mate seats, Re-piped all fuel lines to both black iron fuel tanks, new fresh water pumps, Hard Top for Fly bridge has built in white and red lights with 2013 canvas surround with Else glass, all panels able to unzip and snap on to hard top, added separate VHF to lower station. Custom wood cabinetry for V-birth, new foam mattress for V-birth, new cushions throughout with new shades for all windows, re-bedded all port holes.

|I am reluctantly selling our 1996 Albin 28TE. We just spent a month in the Bahamas on her in June and logged over 700 nautical miles, but our boys are getting older and need a little bit more space. This boat is very special to us. I have put several hundred hours into her bringing her back to life. When I bought her almost two years she had briefly sank in Clear Lake Texas. She was down about 2 hours before it was raised and put into a shipyard. The owner had no insurance and did not want to put her back together. I bought her with a clear Texas title and started bringing her back to life.
The motor is a Cummins 6BTA 370 with 158 hours. The motors manufacture date on it is 2011, but the owner bought it in 2015 as a factory remanufactured motor. It only had 20 hours on it when she sank. I had the motor rebuilt with new factory parts. While the motor was out I had the following performed.
The transmission was bench tested and new seals put in
I had the head tested and a valve job done.
New Awlgrip primer and paint.
New water pump.
New exhaust plumbing and fiberglass elbows between the manifold and muffler.
I spent a year going through the boat and replacing everything that was effected or damaged. I pretty much replaced every system onboard. I will try to make a list with dates, but know I am going to miss several things.
Full motor rebuild 09 - 2016. The motor currently has 158 hours.
Triple axle trailer. I trailered the boat from Texas to Fort Lauderdale. 2,400 miles round trip.
Bottom job 09 - 2017.
New 1.5 Aquamet 19 propeller shaft 09 - 2017.
New PSS dripless shaft seal 09 - 2017.
New Cummins gauge panel 09 - 2016.
New shaft coupler 09 - 2017.
Rebuilt 19LH23 four blade prop. Pitched perfectly. The motor hits 3000RPM on the nose.
New 6000 BTU Marinair AC unit 05 - 2017.
I had the Vetus bowthruster rebuilt 08 - 2016.
New 100 watt solar panel 05 - 2017.
Garmin 74DV EcoMap with a triducer new 01 - 2017.
New Mastervolt 12 volt 20 amp charger 06 - 2017.
(4) group 29 batteries. (2) house (2) engine starting. 04 - 2016.
LED lighting throughout.
New sound down engine room insulation 2017.
New companionway covers and instrument covers 06 - 2017.
New West Marine VHF radio 01 - 2017.
4 new bilge pumps and high water alarm 2016.
New shower sump pump 09 - 2016.
New macertor pump and head plumbing 04 - 2016.
2 Lumitec Seablaze LED underwater lights 06 - 2016.
New exhaust plumbing and elbows between the manifold and muffler .
New hot water heater 09 - 2016.
New freshwater pump 08 - 2016
New Bennett trim tab pump and controller 08 - 2016.
New Pyle MP3 head unit with blue tooth 09 - 2016.
(4) Speakers total. (2) New in 09 - 2016.
New 12 light bar 05 - 2016.
New Jabsco marine head 09 - 2017.
I will keep adding to the list as I remember more.
I will be the first to tell you the boat is not perfect. I compounded and waxed her, but the fading is starting to come back. It really needs to be wet sanded. There are plenty of little scrapes and chips too. The fabric on the cushions down below have a few small tears.
The boat runs awesome! Like I had mentioned. We took it to the Bahamas for a month in June. We went from Fort Lauderdale down to the Exumas and covered about 700 nautical miles. I am not big on running hard and mostly cruise at 7.5 knots. I would say 125 of the engine hours are below 1500 RPM. But, the boat will run an honest 27 knots and cruise at 20-22 knots all day long.
I do not need to sell the boat and we still use it weekly so I am not going to take low offers. I know it is the most mechanically sound boat on the market with the most new systems and updates.
Call, email or text with questions or to set up a time to look at her.
