| 22’ Challenger Aerotech w/ 540 Big Block
Vehicle Description
Hull: 22ft. Challenger Aerotech Stiletto w/ vented bottom making it similar to a tunnel hull but looks like a v-hull (rare design and will not see these all over), Gel-Coat in good condition with minor scuffs of any boat of its age, interior shows average wear but is not in horrible condition, cabin is in great condition showing minimal wear and has a sink, new floor/carpet in summer of 08’.
Engine: The motor in this boat started as an 8.1 (502) generation II and was completely transformed by Woodruff Racing Engines in the summer of 08’. It was punched out to a 540 being dynoed at close to 650hp and 640ft. pounds of torque making this boat capable of running in the low 90’s. This rebuild included new heads, crank, cam, pistons, rods, valves, etc. costing close to $8,000. Motor has no more than 6hrs on it since rebuild and is very reliable. Also purchased at the same time was a Davinchi 4-barrel stage three carburetor and a Wilson spacer $1,100. Since the summer I have also put a new Hatachi mini-starter on ($190), 4” tubed headers ($600) and a custom 4” exhaust ($200). No short cuts were taken and I invested my time in money as I planned to keep the boat.
Drive: Bravo 1 drive completely rebuild by gruningers performance marine with less than 4 hours since rebuild. The rebuild included new straight cut XR gears, all bearings new, 1.25 ratio installed, new gimbel bearing/shaft, molded nose cone, and 23 pitch prop (boat could use a bigger pitched prop).
Trailer: Trailer is in good shape and has recently been restored/updated being repainted, l.e.d. lights installed, and two new trailer tires.. Located in Thayer Illinois. |
