| Nicest 27 Fountain Fever in the Country. This boat was Re-powered with Mercury Racing HP 500, XR Drive and HP Transom Assembly. This power package was bought Brand New direct from mercruiser. I have the $38K receipt in hand for this purchase. The motor has a ProCharger that is setup very conservative at only 3 lbs of boost. It starts first time, idles smooth and runs on pump gas.
The boat is equipped with IMCO Dual Ram Hydraulic Steering and Mercury K-Planes. It spins a 28P Lab Finished 4-blade prop. The boat only has 275 hours of Freshwater use. It has Never been in Saltwater. The engine and Drive oil have been changed every 25 hours.
The interior has Hydraulic Drop Out Bolsters, Zero Effort Off Shore Controls and a White Out Dash Package. The boat has Kicker Subs and Components, Rockford amps and AGM Batteries so you can play the Stereo all day.
The boat sits on a MYCO Trailer with brakes and a new spare. I have a Full boat cover for storage and transporting. I also have a cockpit cover for quick protection. | I'm second generation fountain fever owner. my dad and brother both had fevers and i grew up on them learning the ends and outs. this fever has been maticulously maintained and serviced annually. serviced 4-25-2013 and had silent choice replaced with new updated system. Always stored indoors and only freshwater. Have Reggie fountains test record for the boat which is pretty cool. Have been around a lot of boats and fountains by far my favorite and George Bush SR's favorite too, so I heard. Mostly used in havasu,AZ.
The 27 Fever was designed to open the door to the first time high performance boat buyer, by keeping the high performance boat building standards on a 27-foot hull. Fountain has newly designed the Fever so the novice boater can get his feet wet in the race boat market without drowning in the cost.
The 27 Fever shot out of the hole at a quick 6.7 seconds and reached 30 mile per hour in 9.9 seconds. Shes just what you would except from a small race boat. She handled the tight turns like an agile cat and reached a top speed of 72 miles per hour, with a best cruise speed of 35.8 miles per hour, and sipped on the fuel in doing so. When it comes to rough water the 27 Fever can hold its own in a moderate chop, but she was not designed for open ocean action as big waves would slow her down quite a bit.
When standing or sitting at the helm the 27 Fever newly designed wraparound windshield allows for good 360% visibility thus creating a very high comfort zone when handling this boat. The drivers seat combined with the controls, steering wheel and instrumentation cluster seemed a bit tight, but remember this is a race boat design so everything is close for quick and easy access. The rest of the cockpit layout is very comfortable, with a three person bench seat just in front of a large sun pad which happens to be the engine hatch. Theres a swim platform with a collapsible swim ladder for those who want to take a dip and cool off.
The gunwales are nice and high and slope aft, making it easy to get in and out of this boat. The features list is comparable to that of the bigger Fountains. The forward cabin has a leather interior with a wraparound sofa, V-berth with cushion and ultra suede pillows, and a privacy curtain. Theres also a porta-potti below, making day trips much more pleasurable for everyone.

| 2000 Fountain 27 Fever is powered by a single 502 Mercruiser engine that has been worked out to 540 cubic inches with a 9:1 compression ratio and a pro charger. The boost is 3-5 PSI with a 4.75x 12 rib pulley and the prop is a 4 blades stainless steel 28 pitch that pushes out 850 HP reaching speeds up to 88 mph. Everything on this boat is in perfect condition and has been properly pampered and maintained. All Engine work was performed by Hood Performance in West Plains, Missouri. Work done includes flat head pistons, gapless rings, aluminum heads, performance valves, solid crank shaft, and roller bearing camshaft all necessary to reach top speeds. The fuel rail was reworked to a 50# by Arizona speed. Imco exhaust manifolds were installed along with a new Mercruiser Bravo XR racing outdrive with shower cooler system.
If you desire to go even faster change to a smaller diameter pulley and get to 7-9 Psi and change the prop to a 32 pitch and you can reach speeds in the triple digits.
This Fountain 27 Fever has 365 hours, and only 60 hours on the current power plant and outdrive. It was bought brand new in 2002 and has been pampered and maintained like no other. This low hour Fountain 27 Fever is in showroom condition, and also comes equipped with a tandem axel trailer. | fountain fever almost completely re rig last year , looking for 32 to 35 fountain , too much to list primary stuff is as goes . new 598 inch dart motor top of line 700 horse dyno proven . new hp gimble . boostpower 5 lb flywheel . hp cluch , new imco dual hydrolic steering , 5 k , top of li ne cmi headers and tails and sound elimination silancers . sounds sweet still passas the sniffer . new xr drive last year also . updated dash , sea strainners just too much to list , receipts in excess of 50 k , got really caught up in this build . but its sweet , intereror close to new condition , al jl audio components 4 10 s , 2pair of 7.7 components and one pair of 5.25 . amps are all digital . low currant can run loud all day not worry about turning over 700 hs people are always amazed the boat starts after a long day of thumping . all remotes front and back . and one hand remote the functions about 50 feet from boat awsom feature , all alpine head unit stuff , i pod ect top of lne . boat runs about 87 . just a little note . motor is a mild build low lift cam , built for 400 to 500 hrs of service . although if i were to keep would have valves , valve springs done at 200 hr intervals , motor has 17 hrs sinnce sat in place . sweet myco trailer included in deal if sold . all riging on engine was purchased from bob teague . so look at one of his 700s and that is the exact rigging as this 4 k just for the small rigging , fuel pumps , high output oil cooler , pluming . only thing not from teague is the dual feed waterpump keitheikert . , again all receipts and documentation available for any possible scrutny one might hace check out the pics and if you want to trade down to a smaller boat please text or call rob 608 -921-0106 one more thing ...... get rid of all pollititions !!!!!! america would be way better off thanks great boating too ya.
