| 2001 Formula 260 SS,Only one meticulous owner, and I am motivated to sell. This trailer boat has to be seen to be appreciated. I have about 30 pics for interested buyers. Since 2001 it has been in my barn for about 9 months each year, and covered on a trailer when not in use for the other 3 months. It has the 375hp FWC Merc Bravo 3 unit with a Garmin chartplotter, VHF, and Garmin fishfinder included.Two summers ago the engine temperature went up 3 degrees so I had the manifolds and transom assembly replaced. That's how committed I am to maintaining this vessel. I also installed a Racor fuel filter as a precaution against fuel problems. It has a fair amount of hours on it but at least 60% of the hours were spent at idle while trolling for fish. It still runs a strong 53 mph as per the GPS, as it did when new. I installed an outdrive switch and a hose outlet on the swim platform to facilitate flushing and cleaning. It was used quite a bit in salt water but the boat was washed and the engine flushed within a half hour of retrieval. A Mercruiser tech told me that these big block engines can go two thousand hours before a rebuild is necessary. I challenge anyone to show me an indication of salt water usage on this boat.Amenities include a spacious cabin with sleeping for 2, table, plus a head with holding tank. It has a sink - wet bar in the cockpit and a table that converts into a bunk.My son had a brief interest in wakeboarding so we bought a Fly High stainless steel tower that worked really great for the 5 or 6 times we used it. It is in like new condition and can be put up or taken down in about 10 minutes. I can't believe there are too many other 260SS boats out there with a designated wakeboard tower like this!Also included is a 2003 tandem axle aluminum bunk Load Rite trailer rated for 8,000 pounds. The boat weighs about 6,000 so there is a comfortable safety margin. I installed Kodiak silver cadmium disc brakes on all 4 wheels with an electric - hydraulic actuator. This rig will stop when you want, again in the interest of safety. 3 tires are 2 years old, the fourth I've had for 3 years. This fall the oil and filter change featured Mobil 1, as always. I have all the original paperwork from Formula as well as the manuals for the electronics. Marina bills for various expenditures are also included.NADA low retail is $30,920 and average retail is $35,315 just for this boat. I believe the money spent for this boat and trailer is a sound investment. | I am selling my Formula 29PC this boat is garage kept and it show's. Vessel has twin 454 Mercury Engines around 525 hours with Bravo out drives. These engines were tuned up last season with all hoses belts plugs wires installed new raw water pumps installed new engine water pumps replaced and new fuel pumps installed all parts used were OEM Mercuriser. Generator is a 2010 model Westerbek that only has 40 hours on it, this is the new 2200 rpm 3kw that works great and is quiet. The outdrives were rebuilt last season. There is a new set of SS props on the boat with back up sea level props that go with the boat. I replaced the vacuum generator on the vacuflush head last season with a new unit and instsalled a new holding tank also. Engines Drives and Generator recently serviced with Royal Purple oil's installed. Engine room has been whit gel coated and looks new. All cockpit upholestry was replaced two seasons ago and shows a brand new. The stripes were repainted a few years back and still look great. Interior is near perfect. Vessel has three new optima Blue top battery's with seperate on off switches powering up a grid system. Anchor windlass is all chain 180ft with Bruce Plow anchor, operated from foot swithches on the bow or toggle at the dash, This vessel is ready to go the only system that has not been upgraded is A - C system which works OK. Trailer is three axle alluminum with extra bunks and guide rails. The axle bearing's run in 90 wt royal purple with sight glasses to check level this system is far better than grease brgs. Axles are 5200lb with 6 hole wheels and tires. Trailer has hydraulic surge brakes all works as new. Boat is in T or C area invite you to come down and check it out you will not be dissapointed. This PC is a very fast and roomy boat, both in the cockpit and lounge area and the cabin. In the cockpit there is a walkthrough transom door that leads into a good size wrap around u shaped seating aft, a single lounge to port and a double helm seat that may even fit three the cockpit has a sink and a fold out aft seat The radar arch gives it style and function as it helps break up the forward and aft bimini top.
