| VESSEL WALK-THROUGH: The 55 Pilothouse was designed by Ed Monk and built in the Northwest USA to a higher standard of quality than most yachts of similar style being built today. This Tollycraft is a solidly constructed pilothouse motor yacht. Built to stand up to weather and rough sea conditions as well as provide good performance and fuel economy. You will find "Midshipman" to be a very comfortable, safe and stable couples live-aboard or family coastal cruiser. The MMC fly by wire controllers make her very easy to handle. Beginning aft, a fiberglass swim platform is molded into the hull and access from here to the aft-deck - cockpit is gained through a transom door. The aft-deck featured a fiberglass sole through which a hatch leads down to a large lazarette and forward from there into the engine room. A strong and heavily constructed "sea-door" leads into the salon and - or covered, walk around side decks lead forward from the cockpit on both port and starboard sides all the way to the foredeck.
The Salon is spacious and features a large, comfortable, Ushaped built-in-sofa to port. A high - low wood coffee table by Pompanette in the front of the sofa converts to accommodate six (6) guests for dining. A wooden cabinet with corian counter tops is situated across the salon to starboard and houses a TV which rises up electrically for full room viewing. Three (3) steps lead forward from the salon and up, past the stairs leading up to the flybridge and to the galley which is to port. A dinette that seats five (5) is just forward of the galley and the pilothouse helm station is just inboard of this and positioned on centerline. An electronically operated Stidd Helmsman's seat is mounted just aft of the helm and sliding door on the starboard side of the pilothouse leads out to the side deck. Located outward of the helm station to starboard and leading forward from the pilothouse and down, a wide, easy stairway leads down to the owner's and guest's accommodations. The Owner's - Guest's stateroom is situated amidship and utilizes the full width of the beam measurement. This stateroom features a walk-around queen size berth on centerline with mirrored headboard, wooden night stands built in on either side with reading lamps atop and a private head with stall shower en-suite. Forward of the master's stateroom, a stacked cabinet on port side and the second guest's stateroom with over - under bunk berths is just forward of this. The guest's head with Vacuflush toilet and separate stall shower is across the companionway to starboard and the VIP Stateroom is all the way forward and features a Queen-Size berth on centerline, drawers and a hanging locker for clothing storage.
MAIN SALON: Leather, Sectional Sofa; Pompanetta Hi - Lo Table; entertainment Center - Cabinet with Corian Countertop including 27" TV w - Surround Sound Stereo Speakers, DVD Player and AM - FM Stereo Receiver. The carpeting in this area is beige colored Karaftan. Also included are blinds and drapes.

Construction
The hull of this cockpit motor yacht is a modified V entry, planing type with 10 degree dead rise aft consisting of a solid laminate of hand laid fiberglass with mold applied gel coat exterior. Encapsulated plywood - balsa coring for bulkheads, sole and misc. scantlings. Four longitudinal stringers serve as bottom support and engine beds. Hull decorative stripes are paint. Bottom painted with VC17 and barrier coated. Fiberglass swim platform is thru bolted to the transom.

There is a spacious, main salon. The Main AC - DC Breaker panel is on the port side of the main salon near the entrance to the aft cabin.
The aft cabin is the master stateroom with its own head and large berth. The forward stateroom V Berth has a double berth.
