The Spacious Three-Stateroom Layout will easily sleep 8 (or more), Two in the Aft Master Stateroom, Two in the Queen-sized VIP, Two in the Forward Stateroom's Over-and-Under V-Berth, and Two in the Convertible Magic-Bed in the Salon.
The Aft Master Stateroom is down four steps from the Salon, entered through a center-line sliding door. The Island Queen Berth is also center-line. A large cedar-lined Hanging Locker is starboard along with a nice Dresser with Mirror and Drawers. There is also a second cedar-lined Hangung Locker to the Port side Stern bulkhead next to the master Washroom. The Master washroom is to port, with a sliding privacy door, cherry cabinetry with solid-surface countertops, and a Vac-U- Flush head. Adding to the spacious feel of the boat is a very large Shower and Tub in the Master washroom.
The VIP and Forward Staterooms are accessed by a portside Hallway that runs on the Port Side of the Yacht, lined with drawers and storage Closets. The VIP Stateroom is forward of the Engine Room, and features yet another Island Queen Berth accessable from either side. This VIP Stateroom is surprisingly large with much better headroom than might be expected, cedar-lined Hanging Lockers and lots of storage. It also has a large door giving you access to the engine room. The Guest Washroom is forward between the VIP and the forward Stateroom, with a privacy entrance from the VIP stateroom, as well as an entrance from the hallway. | 1988 Cruisers 4280 Express Bridge Cruiser is the ultimate all-around boating vessel. It is powered by two Caterpillar 3208 Diesel engines pushing out 375 Hp each. The Powerboat Guide calls this boat "a party barge." The vessel was designed by Jim Wynne who also designed the 36' Hatteras convertible. The unique design has 5-step staircases on either side of the cockpit, allowing for easy access to the fly-bridge and enjoyment for you and all of your guests to maneuver safely around. The upper deck is "flush" from the top of the steps all the way forward to the bow. Entrances to the bridge on both port and starboard sides access seating for a dozen people with a full protective enclosure. From the cockpit, sliding glass doors lead to the cabin. The boat can be operated single-handedly since access to the mid-ship cleat and the bow is only a few steps from the helm.
Other accommodations below from the stern deck you enter the cabin through sliding glass doors that open up to two steps down that lead into the cabin. Once inside, the cabin is on a single (carpeted) level, the entire length and width of the boat. This makes the living space seem much larger than a 42' boat would normally provide. There is a sleep sofa, teak Hi - Low table, and end table - dresser to starboard. To port, there is an entertainment center and the "U" shaped galley. Moving forward, the 10 cu. ft. refrigerator (with a freezer) is in the companionway. Next, to starboard is the head, featuring a separate stall shower, Raritan Atlantis electric marine toilet, vanity - sink and a cabinet above. To port is the mid-ship cabin with a hanging locker, drawer storage, and a sofa that converts into a double bed. In the bow, the owner's cabin holds a queen size island bed, vanity, hanging lockers, private head entrance, 2 overhead hatches, and personal AC controls.
The bridge enclosure has a full wrap around canvas and just had new Isinglass installed. Control everything from the bridge and enjoy it with your entire guest party with the extra seating this Cruisers 4280 has to offer.
All maintenance performed on a very strict schedule. This boat is in very good condition and is maintained year round. I have personally been out on this boat and can promise it is very well taken care of.
