COCKPIT AND INTERIOR ACCOMMODATIONS:
ALLIANCE has a comfortable cockpit with seating aft and on the engine box. Custom, folding teak chairs are perched inside the protected pilot house for the helmsman and a passenger.
Starting from the farthest point forward is a chain locker with anchor chain and rode. Sleeping accommodations for two adults in a V-berth are just forward of a private head to port. Storage including drawers and a hanging locker are to starboard. The companionway ladder leads back to the pilot house.

Summary - Intro
Edelweiss is a beautifully restored classic, well appointed for picnics and cocktail cruises. The boat was built in 1959 and meticulously restored and re-powered in 2000 at Brewers Yacht Haven in Stamford, CT by Erik Christensen. Since then, Edelweiss has been expertly cared for by knowledgable owners.
Construction is 3 - 4" Mahogany lapstrake planking over laminated white oak frames. Floor timbers are Mahogany-sided, 2" on 16" centers. Keel stem and stern post are white oak. Transom is varnished Honduran Mahogany. The bottom is triple diagonal planked with West epoxy finish. All fastenings are bronze through bolts and copper rivets.

About the lapstrake hull
With the cold-molded bottom theres no swelling necessary. Edelweiss doesn't take on any water at launch - even after land storage.
